PlayStation’s published support instructions do not document a user-facing PSN sign-in history page or per-login audit log. If you are concerned about account access, you can still end sessions remotely: go to Account Management, open Security, then select Sign Out on All Devices. This signs devices out; it does not deactivate your consoles.
Can you see your PSN sign-in history?
PlayStation’s reviewed support guidance does not show a page where you can inspect dated PSN logins, locations, IP addresses, or device-by-device access events. That is a limit of the published instructions cited here; it does not establish whether Sony retains sign-in data internally or whether another interface could offer different information.
If you see an unfamiliar change to your sign-in ID, online ID, or password, treat it as a possible account compromise rather than relying on a login-history screen. Sony advises contacting Support about account changes you did not make. Its recovery guidance covers regaining access by passkey from another device using the same verification method, or through email if you can access the account’s email address. Use this option if you cannot reach a console or want to end active sessions across devices.

- Select Security in the left sidebar.
- Choose Sign Out on All Devices at the bottom of the page.
Sony documents this as the remote sign-out option for someone who cannot physically access their PlayStation console. The control ends sessions; it is separate from console deactivation.
How to sign out on a PlayStation console you can access
- PS5: Settings > Users and Accounts > Other > Sign Out.
- PS4: Settings > Account Management > Sign Out.
PlayStation says you generally stay signed in after signing in until you sign out. A system software update or network outage can also sign you out. For more detail, see PlayStation’s sign-in and sign-out guide.

Sign-out versus console deactivation
Signing out ends account sessions. Deactivation removes a console’s activation associated with your account, which matters for using purchases and certain sharing benefits. These are different actions in Sony’s instructions.

Sony limits remote deactivation to once every six months. Its cited localized support page lists activation limits by generation: one PS5, one PS4, two PS3 consoles, and three PS Vita/TV systems; it also says a PS5 and PS4 can both be activated at once. Check the current deactivation page for your region before acting, since those limits are stated on a localized support page.

If your console is stolen or you suspect unauthorized access
- Sign out everywhere using Account Management > Security > Sign Out on All Devices.
- Change your password. Sony says this signs out inaccessible consoles.
- Deactivate consoles if needed using Account Management > Device Management > PlayStation Consoles > Deactivate All Devices. This applies to all consoles and is subject to the six-month limit.
- Consider removing payment methods to help prevent unwanted purchases.
- Contact PlayStation Support promptly if you cannot change your sign-in method or access the account. Sony’s guidance for compromised accounts and unauthorized charges covers these steps.
Secure the account for future sign-ins
Sony supports passkeys and 2-step verification. Its security guidance recommends passkeys, caution around QR-code scams, and signing out when you use a shared device. You can also require a password at checkout to protect Store purchases; Sony notes that this option is not compatible with passkey accounts. Read PlayStation’s security best practices.
2-step verification can use an authenticator app or SMS. Record the backup codes when setting it up: Sony says each of its ten backup codes can be used once. If you no longer have your codes or access to the phone or verification method, use Sony’s 2-step verification troubleshooting guidance and contact Support if you cannot recover access.
