To check your Galaxy Z Fold’s battery condition, open Samsung Members and run Phone diagnostics > Battery status. To see which apps are using power, open Settings > Device care > Battery. These are separate checks: Members provides a diagnostic result, while Device care shows battery use and related information. Menu names and available tests can vary by Fold model and software version.
How do I check battery health on my Galaxy Z Fold?
Use Samsung Members’ Battery status diagnostic for a condition check. Samsung’s support instructions describe this route:
- Open Samsung Members.
- Tap Support or Diagnostics, then open Phone diagnostics. On some app versions, diagnostics may be under Discover > Diagnostics.
- If a full diagnostic scan starts automatically, let it begin. Samsung says you can stop the full test and choose an individual check.
- Select Battery status and review the result displayed on your phone.
On supported devices, another route is Settings > Device care > Diagnostics > Phone diagnostics. The exact path and list of tests depend on the device and software version.

How do I see which apps are using battery?
Open Settings > Device care > Battery and review the usage information shown on your phone. Samsung identifies this area for checking battery usage and related battery information. App use can help explain a recent change in drain, but a usage chart by itself does not diagnose battery condition.
What the Galaxy Z Fold6 manual documents
For the Galaxy Z Fold6 specifically, Samsung’s European English user manual describes a Settings > Battery page with remaining battery power and estimated time, plus power saving, background usage limits, battery protection, charging settings, and battery information. The manual cautions that “Usage time left may vary depending on your device settings and operating conditions.” This model-specific description should not be assumed to match every Fold generation.

Why is my Galaxy Z Fold battery draining so fast?
First review app-level use in Device care, then run the Battery status diagnostic in Samsung Members. A day’s usage pattern can reflect how the phone was used; it is not, on its own, proof of a failing battery.

Samsung says Galaxy batteries are consumable components that naturally degrade over time. It identifies rapid draining after charging and unexpected shutdowns—particularly in cold conditions—as possible signs of battery aging. If Samsung displays a battery-performance degradation alert, Samsung advises having the device inspected at a service center. Replacement coverage depends on the applicable warranty conditions.

What should I do if a menu or test is missing?
Check Samsung Members’ Support or Discover area for Diagnostics, or look under Settings > Device care > Diagnostics on supported devices. Samsung notes that menus and test lists vary. If the battery concern continues after checking usage and running the available diagnostic, contact Samsung Support or a Samsung service center; any replacement may be covered by warranty or require paid service, depending on the warranty terms.
