After signing in to the official GST Portal, go to Services > User Services > View Additional Notices/Orders to find a notice or order. Open its case details or attachment, then save the document using the download option shown or your browser’s save function. The available actions depend on the notice type.
Find a notice or order on the GST Portal

Sign in to the official GST Portal using the taxpayer’s credentials or authorized access.

Open Services > User Services > View Additional Notices/Orders. GSTN functionality material describes notices and orders appearing under this post-login menu. The wording can vary: related material also calls it Additional Notices & Orders. GST Portal help

Locate the relevant record and check its notice or form type, issue date, case status, and available action. Select View or the document/attachment link when offered.

If the record opens a case details page, select the attachment hyperlink to open the issued document. This two-step flow is documented for Form GST DRC-01D. GSTN DRC-01D functionality material
Download or save the document
Once the attachment is open, use a download control if the portal or document viewer provides one. If not, use the browser’s save or download option. The documented DRC-01D instructions establish how to open its attachment; they do not establish a single download button or file format shared by every notice type.

Check what the specific notice requires
Do not assume that all notices offer the same response, payment, or upload options. Read the form and any instructions on the record before taking action. The documented examples illustrate why:

DRC-01D intimation
GSTN’s April–June 2024 functionality compilation describes DRC-01D as an intimation for recovery proceedings. In the flow described, the taxpayer can view the form through the notices/orders menu, choose View under Action, and follow the attachment hyperlink. That material says the flow does not allow a reply and directs payment of the specified amount within seven days of issue; it warns that recovery proceedings may begin otherwise. Treat that deadline and instruction as specific to this DRC-01D example, not as a rule for other GST notices. GSTN DRC-01D functionality material

Audit notices
GSTN’s March 2021 functionality compilation describes audit-specific options that can include replying to an audit notice, uploading documents, accepting or rejecting discrepancies, paying liabilities discrepancy-wise, and requesting an adjournment or an extension of the audit date. Those options do not apply automatically to other notice types. GSTN audit functionality material
DRC-01 summary
A January–March 2021 GSTN functionality compilation says an automatically generated Form GST DRC-01 summary for specified proceedings is available under Additional Notices & Orders. Check the record itself for the relevant case and next action. GSTN DRC-01 functionality material

If you received an SMS or email alert
GSTN says notices and orders covered by the relevant functionality are also communicated by SMS and email and appear on the taxpayer dashboard. Use an alert as a prompt to sign in and inspect the official portal record and document rather than relying on the alert alone. GST Portal help
