To check a Counter-Strike 2 team’s Valve Regional Standings (VRS), use a dated list, select the relevant region, and verify the rank, points, and five-player roster. Note the snapshot date: Valve publishes VRS monthly, and tournament operators use the latest version available on an event’s invitation date. A ranking is not a match-results archive, so confirm individual scores in the event’s own results record.
What the VRS ranking measures
Valve defines the Valve Regional Standings (VRS) as its official system for ranking roster performance. Valve publishes the standings monthly, and they form the basis for direct VRS invites. The definition appears in Valve’s Tournament Operation Requirements.
The ranking unit is a roster: five specific athletes, regardless of their current or later association with a team organization. That distinction matters when players move. An organization name may remain familiar even though the five-player lineup in a ranking entry has changed.
Valve also distinguishes Ranked Tournaments, whose outcomes contribute data used by the VRS, from Unranked Tournaments, whose outcomes do not generate that data.

How to check a team’s VRS rank
- Open Valve’s standings repository. Go to the official VRS repository and locate the dated standings file relevant to your question. Valve’s tournament rules point to this repository for the VRS versions used in tournament operations.
- Select the region. Valve’s rules recognize Global, Americas, Europe, and Asia VRS lists for Tier 1 ranked events. Choose the list that applies to the event or comparison you are making; a regional position is not interchangeable with a position in another region.
- Find the team or roster entry. Check the position and points, then compare all five listed players with the lineup you mean. Do not rely on the organization label alone.
- Record the snapshot date and source status. Distinguish an official published snapshot from a third-party tracker’s estimate or update. For direct invitations, tournament operators use the most recent VRS available as of the event’s Invite Date.
- Check match outcomes separately. Open the relevant tournament’s official results or match page to verify a score, opponent, and match date.
Official snapshots and live trackers are not the same
Valve’s dated files are the reference for the official published standings. Third-party sites can make the standings easier to browse, show regional breakdowns, or track changes, but identify what a page represents before citing it: an official snapshot, or an independently maintained and potentially updated view.
For example, HLTV labels its Americas ranking dated September 7, 2026, as an official Valve ranking. That snapshot lists Legacy first with 1,783 Valve points and FURIA second with 1,754 points, and displays the players associated with each roster. It is an example from that date—not confirmation of the latest standings on October 4, 2026. CounterStrikeStats describes itself as an independent project and provides ranking tracking and regional views.

VRS ranking versus match results
A VRS entry tells you how a five-player roster is ranked in a particular regional or global list at a particular snapshot. It is not a match score and does not provide a complete record of the team’s results. The VRS reflects data generated by Ranked Tournament outcomes, but a position change alone does not establish which match caused it—or even prove a specific recent win or loss.

The sources cited here explain the ranking system and where to find its versions; they do not establish one official, comprehensive archive of results for every CS2 event.

What to verify before relying on a ranking
- Date: Monthly standings can become outdated; use the snapshot that matches your question.
- Region: Confirm whether the list is Global, Americas, Europe, or Asia, as applicable.
- Roster: Match the five players, not just the team organization name.
- Source: Tell readers whether the page is Valve’s published snapshot or a third-party tracker.
- Purpose: For direct invites, the relevant version is the latest VRS as of the event’s Invite Date; for a match result, consult the event’s record.
