To change an alarm’s sound on a Samsung Galaxy, open Clock, select Alarm, open the alarm, tap Alarm sound, choose a ringtone, then return and tap Save. You can also set an optional Spotify playlist on supported devices.
Change the sound of an existing alarm
- Open the Clock app and select the Alarm tab.
- Tap the alarm you want to edit.
- Tap Alarm sound, then tap Ringtone.
- Tap a ringtone to preview and select it.
- Return to the alarm settings screen and tap Save.

Choose a sound when creating a new alarm
In Clock, open Alarm and tap Add (the plus sign). Set the alarm, tap Alarm sound to choose a sound, then save it. Samsung’s alarm setup guide also covers sound and volume options.
Use a Spotify playlist as an alarm sound
If the option is available on your device, open or create an alarm, tap Alarm sound, then select Spotify. Sign in if prompted, choose a playlist, return to the alarm screen, and save. Samsung documents Spotify alarm integration for devices running One UI 3 or later; the option may not appear on every device or configuration. Samsung’s Spotify features guide explains the setup.

Alarm volume is a separate setting
Choosing a ringtone changes what you hear; it is distinct from setting how loud the alarm plays. Samsung’s One UI 7 instructions describe a Volume option that can use the same volume for all alarms or a different volume for each alarm.
