To cancel a Kahoot subscription, first check who bills you: cancel a web purchase in Kahoot under Account settings → Billing → Manage subscription → Cancel Subscription, or cancel an in-app purchase through the Apple or Google account used to subscribe. Complete the final prompts and look for confirmation; starting the process without confirming it may not stop renewal.
Find out who bills your Kahoot subscription
The cancellation route depends on where you bought the subscription, not simply on which device you use now. Sign in to Kahoot and check Account settings → Billing. If you see Manage subscription, use Kahoot’s web cancellation flow. If you subscribed in the iOS or Android app, manage the subscription through the store account that made the purchase. Kahoot’s guidance for AccessPass billing also points to the purchase’s billing route.

Cancel a Kahoot subscription bought on the web
- Sign in to the Kahoot account associated with the subscription.
- Open the account settings menu and select Billing.
- Select Manage subscription, then choose Cancel Subscription.
- Follow the remaining prompts. Wait for the cancellation confirmation notice, and keep it for your records.
Kahoot’s web subscription cancellation instructions say the process is complete when the system displays confirmation.

Apple App Store
Cancel through Apple using the Apple account that made the purchase. Kahoot directs Apple-billed subscribers to Apple for subscription billing and refund matters; its guidance does not provide Apple’s screen-by-screen cancellation steps. See Kahoot’s cancellation guidance.

Google Play
- Sign in to the Google account that holds the subscription.
- Open Google Play’s Subscriptions page and select Kahoot. On the Google Play website, select Manage for the subscription.
- Choose Cancel subscription, follow the prompts, and complete the cancellation.
If Kahoot does not appear, check whether you are signed in to the Google account used for the purchase. Uninstalling the app does not cancel its Google Play subscription. Google’s instructions are in Cancel, pause or change a subscription on Google Play.
What happens after you cancel
Cancellation stops future automatic renewals; it generally does not end access immediately. Kahoot says paid access usually continues until the end of the current prepaid billing period. At the end of that period, the account moves to basic access. Kahoots saved in personal folders remain available to host, but saving edits may require removing premium features or question types that are no longer part of basic access.

If you cancel an active web subscription and change your mind before it expires, Kahoot says you can reactivate it from Billing. Reactivation removes the cancellation and restores automatic renewal.
Cancellation, refunds, and account deletion are different
Will cancelling give me a refund?
Ordinary cancellation stops renewal; Kahoot says it does not return dues already paid. A separate withdrawal route may be available to eligible consumers for feature subscriptions within 14 days of purchase, depending on jurisdiction and the applicable terms. Kahoot describes content subscriptions, including AccessPass or marketplace content, as ineligible for withdrawal or refund because access is immediate. For an app-store purchase, contact the store about a refund request. Read Kahoot’s refund policy for the conditions that apply.

Does deleting my account cancel the subscription?
No. Kahoot states, “Deleting your account does not guarantee a refund, nor does it cancel your active subscription.” Cancel the billing agreement first if you plan to delete the account. Account deletion is a separate action; Kahoot explains it in How to delete my account.

For a multi-license Workspace plan, only the Workspace owner can cancel. The cancellation affects all licenses and members, so a member without owner permissions should contact the owner rather than look for an individual cancellation control.

If you cannot find the cancel button
- Check the billing route: If you purchased through Apple or Google Play, look in the store account used to subscribe rather than expecting the web account to provide the cancellation control.
- Check the account: Make sure you are signed in to the Kahoot or store account associated with the purchase. For Google Play, the subscription may be under a different Google account.
- Check your role: If the subscription is a Workspace plan, ask the Workspace owner to manage cancellation.
- Confirm completion: For a web purchase, continue through every prompt until Kahoot displays the confirmation notice.
