You can now seek SpaceX exposure through its publicly listed Class A shares: SpaceX announced its IPO pricing on June 11, 2026, with trading expected to begin June 12 under ticker SPCX. The announced IPO price of $135 per share is historical, not a current quote. To place an order, look up SPCX through a brokerage that offers access to the relevant Nasdaq market and confirm the listing and order availability there.
SpaceX has already completed its IPO
SpaceX’s June 11, 2026 pricing announcement said the company was offering 555,555,555 Class A shares at $135 each. It identified SPCX as the ticker and said trading was expected to begin June 12 on the Nasdaq Global Select Market and Nasdaq Texas. The issuer also said its registration statement had been declared effective. These are dated offering terms, not a live price or a guarantee of what a share costs now. Read SpaceX’s IPO pricing announcement.
The same announcement described an underwriters’ option to purchase up to 83,333,333 additional shares within 30 days. That was a term of the 2026 IPO announcement; it should not be read as an option available to investors now.

- Open your brokerage’s stock-search or trade screen. Search for SPCX, rather than relying on a company name alone.
- Confirm the security and venue. Check that the result is SpaceX Class A common stock and that your broker identifies the relevant Nasdaq listing. If it does not appear, ask the broker whether it supports the security; availability is not established for any particular broker here.
- Check the current quote and order details. Review the displayed price, trading status, order type, and any broker-specific fees before submitting an order. The historical $135 IPO offer price is not a substitute for a current quote.
- Decide whether the risk fits your plan. A listed stock can fluctuate in price. Consider your investment horizon, diversification, and ability to absorb a loss before placing an order.
SpaceX’s June 4 IPO launch announcement advised readers: “Before you invest, you should read the preliminary prospectus in that registration statement and any other documents SpaceX has filed with the SEC for more complete information about SpaceX and this offering.” The issuer’s launch announcement points readers to those filings. A prospectus and subsequent issuer filings can help explain the company, offering, and risks; they do not establish a brokerage’s current access or provide a live quote.

What “buying SpaceX before an IPO” means now
There is no future SpaceX IPO to buy into based on the dated announcement: the company announced its IPO pricing in June 2026. Any present-day pitch for “pre-IPO SpaceX” therefore needs to identify exactly what is being sold. It could purport to be direct company shares, an interest in a special-purpose vehicle (SPV), a contractual claim, or another instrument; those are not interchangeable.

The reviewed sources do not establish that a current SpaceX private or secondary offer is open. A platform listing, token, derivative, or SPV should not be described as SpaceX common stock unless its primary documents establish that it is, along with the rights the buyer receives.

A SpaceX/Marex SEC-filed disclosure described a UK retail offer launched on June 4, 2026 through a public-offer platform operated by Marex. It limited participation to people who were both tax resident and located in the UK, with orders routed through participating intermediaries. That filing documents the offer at that time; it does not show that it remains open, nor does it establish a route for U.S. or other international investors. Why private placements can be harder to evaluate and sell
The SEC’s Office of Investor Education and Assistance explains that private placements may provide less disclosure than publicly traded securities, may be restricted from resale, and can be difficult or impossible to sell. It cautions: “Unlike with a publicly traded company, information about a private company is not typically available to the public, and a private company may not provide information to you or your buyer.” The SEC’s updated bulletin describes general U.S. Regulation D rules; it does not say that SpaceX currently has a private offering. Read the SEC investor bulletin on private placements.
Accredited-investor status is not the same as access
Under the SEC bulletin’s general U.S. guidance, Rule 506(c) permits general solicitation but limits purchases to accredited investors and requires issuers to take reasonable steps to verify that status. Rule 506(b) prohibits general solicitation and can include up to 35 financially sophisticated non-accredited investors in a 90-calendar-day period, subject to the rule’s conditions. These are general regulatory descriptions, not evidence of a SpaceX offer or an entitlement to buy shares.

The SEC bulletin gives examples of individual accredited-investor tests: income exceeding $200,000 (or $300,000 with a spouse or spousal equivalent) in each of the prior two years, with a reasonable expectation of the same in the current year; or net worth exceeding $1 million, excluding the value of the primary residence under the bulletin’s calculation. These U.S. criteria can change and should be checked against current SEC guidance. Meeting a test does not by itself establish that a particular investment is available to you.

Public shares and private-market offers are different choices
| Question | Listed SPCX shares | Private offer or SPV interest |
|---|---|---|
| What might you own? | SpaceX Class A common stock, if the brokerage’s listing and trade details confirm that security. | Could be direct shares or an indirect contractual or SPV interest; the offer documents must establish which. |
| How do you check access? | Search SPCX through a brokerage and confirm the current listing and order availability with it. | Verify the specific offering, seller, intermediary, eligibility, and transfer approvals from current documents. |
| What information is available? | Public filings and market information are available for a listed issuer, though investors still need to assess them. | The SEC warns that private placements may have limited disclosure; details depend on the specific offer. |
| How easy is resale? | Trading access depends on the broker and market; the current quote and order availability must be checked. | Resale may be restricted, difficult, or impossible, according to the SEC’s general private-placement guidance. |
| Is a current SpaceX offer established here? | SpaceX announced its IPO and ticker SPCX in June 2026. | No current private or secondary SpaceX offer is established by the cited sources. |
