Buy fighting game DLC from the store for the platform and edition you actually play, then check the offer’s included products and the game publisher’s rules before paying. A season pass, character pack, cross-play feature, or shared game account does not automatically mean every add-on is included or transfers between platforms.
Start with the game edition and platform
Before browsing, note the exact game title, edition, and platform: for example, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, or Microsoft Store PC. Search for the add-on in that platform’s store or in the game’s own store. On Xbox and Microsoft Store, some add-ons may be purchasable only in-game rather than appearing as a separate Store listing, according to Microsoft’s Store policies.
Check that the add-on matches the game product you own. Similar names can refer to different editions or platform versions; a listing for one version is not proof that it works with another.
Read what the bundle actually contains
A bundle is a package, not a promise that it includes every item for a game. Microsoft Learn defines a bundle as “a collection of games and/or add-ons that customers can purchase as one product in the Microsoft Store.” Its publishing guides distinguish game bundles, add-on bundles, and season passes (Microsoft Store policies; Bundles – Game Publishing Guide).
#1 Best Overall
- Assemble your team of legendary Marvel characters in the ultimate 4v4 tag team fighter from PlayStation Studios, Arc System Works and Marvel Games.
- Experiment with team compositions to discover new combos, synergies, and strategies. Blast your way through dynamic stages based on iconic Marvel Universe locales, some featuring interactive stage transitions.
- Fighting is both immersive and intuitive, with a range of unique move sets, combos, and strategies to master. Adjustable controls, both traditional and quick inputs, plus easy chain combos make diving right in a breeze.
- Face off against a friend locally or join the fray with up to 64 players in the online lobby, including standard VS modes. Plus, dive deep on each team with the single player Episode Mode to learn more about team dynamics and lore.
Open the product’s included-items list and verify whether the offer contains the base game, which characters or other add-ons are named, and whether each item is available now or planned for later. Microsoft Learn says a season pass is commonly used to promise access to new and forthcoming DLC; the exact content and timing still depend on the individual offer (Add-ons – Game Publishing Guide).
Check whether DLC works across platforms
Cross-play, cross-save, and paid-DLC sharing are separate features. Being able to play with someone on another platform—or using the same publisher account—does not establish that an add-on purchased on one platform is available on another.

Microsoft’s Store policy says Store-managed digital content, including content bought through the Xbox console store, may not roam across gaming networks. Some game-managed in-game items may roam if the game supports it; that is at the publisher’s discretion. Check the game publisher’s support information for the specific title and platforms before buying.

Compare offers against what you want
If a game has more than one add-on offer, compare them on the details that affect your purchase rather than the bundle name alone:
- Content: Identify the exact characters, costumes, stages, currencies, or other add-ons listed.
- Base game: Confirm whether it is included or whether the offer assumes you already own it.
- Timing: Separate available items from promised future DLC and check any stated release timing.
- Platform and edition: Match the offer to your game version and account ecosystem.
- Value for your use: Compare the offer’s price with buying only the characters or items you want. A bundle is not necessarily the better choice for every player.
- Refund terms: Check the current store policy for your region before downloading, streaming, or launching content where those actions affect eligibility.
Contents and prices can change, so use the live listing for your platform when comparing a particular game’s offers.

Check refund and voucher-code rules before purchase
Refund rules vary by storefront and region. PlayStation Support’s Ireland guidance says eligible games, DLC, and season passes generally require a refund request within 14 days and that the content must not have been downloaded or streamed, except when it is faulty. This is Ireland-specific guidance, not a worldwide PlayStation rule; check the policy that applies to your country and account: PlayStation Store refund request (Ireland).
PlayStation’s March 2026 terms describe Store purchases as personal licenses for private, non-commercial use and make refunds subject to the applicable agreement and cancellation policy: PlayStation Terms of Service. If you buy a PlayStation voucher code from a retailer rather than PlayStation Store, PlayStation says to ask the retailer about its cancellation or refund policy: PlayStation voucher-code support (Ireland).
