Build your team around the challenge, not a supposed universally strongest Knight. Start with a front line that can hold pressure, enough damage to finish the fight, and support or control that helps your plan work. Then adjust elements, roles, and positions for the mode and your roster.
What makes a team strong?
Team strength depends on how Knights work together. The official Google Play listing describes six elements—Water, Fire, Air, Earth, Light, and Darkness—and four Knight types: Protector, Warrior, Assassin, and Skilled. It also highlights attribute restraint and control skills, and sums up its approach as “there is no strongest knight but only stronger formation.” Google Play listing
In practice, assess whether your lineup can survive long enough to use its damage, whether that damage suits the encounter, and whether support or control helps counter the opposing team. Element and type interactions can matter, but the available guidance does not establish one roster or element combination as best across every server, account, and mode.

Begin with the Knights you own and the fight you need to win. A beginner guide published by Jeuxvideo.com in 2022 recommends two tanks in front, with a healer or buffer and two damage sources behind. - Choose a front line. Put your most dependable Protectors or other durable Knights where they can take pressure. If they fall quickly, your damage and support may not have enough time to contribute.
- Set a damage plan. Use damage sources that can finish priority targets or maintain output through a longer fight. Do not sacrifice all durability or utility just to add another attacker.
- Add support or control. A healer, buffer, debuffer, or control effect can help your lineup survive or disrupt an opponent. Pick the effect that addresses the challenge rather than filling a role automatically.
- Check the matchup and formation. Consider the enemy’s likely pressure, the relevant element and role interactions, and whether your Knights can execute their plan in the positions you assign.
Why the best lineup changes by mode
A team that performs well in one activity may not suit another. A boss encounter can reward staying power and sustained damage over a longer fight. Arena defense instead has to withstand an opponent’s lineup and may depend on opening effects that protect key Knights or disrupt the enemy. Before changing your team, identify what is causing the loss. If the front line collapses, consider more durability or protection. If the fight lasts but the target survives, reassess damage. If an enemy effect consistently decides the opening, look for control or protection that answers it.

Can position change your opening?
A community mechanics analysis reports that opening-skill order can depend on start order and position when Knights on the same team are tied in start order. It also says normal action priority resumes after opening abilities, with speed, acceleration, and control among the factors. How to compare candidate teams
Use these questions to compare lineups for a specific challenge instead of looking for a single all-purpose ranking:
- Survivability: Can the front line last long enough for the rest of the team to act?
- Damage plan: Does the lineup have focused damage or sustained output appropriate to the encounter?
- Support and control: Can it heal, buff, disrupt, or counter the enemy’s plan?
- Elements and roles: Do the Knights make useful use of the game’s elements, types, attribute restraint, and control mechanics?
- Mode fit: Is the lineup designed for the boss, story stage, or PvP defense you are facing?
- Opening order: Do position-sensitive opening effects resolve in a useful sequence?
- Account fit: Do you own and have sufficiently developed the Knights the proposed lineup requires?
How much should you rely on current meta teams?
A Codex guide published March 24, 2026 discusses advanced China-version compositions built around themes including Hades, ice, endurance, burst, and Milo. Its author presents the recommendations as one advanced player’s opinion and cautions that character arrival timing in other regions may differ. More broadly, a “best team” claim is incomplete without the server, game mode, roster, investment level, and balance context. When asking for account-specific advice, include those details and the Knights you can field.
