Build your Maiden Academy team around what it needs to do—not just the heroes with the highest tier labels. Start with a durable frontline and a dependable source of damage, then add healing, revival, or control to address the weakness that is costing you fights. Use tier rankings to shortlist candidates, and favor heroes whose roles or effects support the same plan.
How to use a tier list when building a team
A tier list is a prioritization aid, not a ready-made lineup. A highly ranked damage dealer cannot replace a tank if your team is falling quickly, and several individually strong heroes may still leave you without healing or useful control. First identify the job your team needs filled; then use tier placement to help choose among heroes who can do that job.
Pocket Gamer’s Maiden Academy tier list was updated September 2, 2026, and labels its rankings for version 1.0.23. It is an editorial snapshot, not an official balance list. Its placements may change with later game updates, so check the page and the game version when using it.

Cover the jobs your team needs
Think in terms of the problems your current lineup has to solve. The guide gives examples of tanks, damage dealers, healers, revival, and control, but does not establish a complete official class system or prescribe a fixed team size.
Keep the frontline standing
Talumexus is listed in S+ and described as a tank with taunt, curse, and counterattacks. Summer, listed in S, is described as a tank who applies bleed and can revive with damage reduction. Doudou, in A, is another tank example, with taunting and counterattacks. These are options to consider when your team needs a sturdier frontline, not evidence that one is always the best tank.
Rank #2

- ENEMY TRANSFORMATION: Harness the power of these figures as enemies in Zombicide 2nd Edition, Black Plague, Undead or Alive, Massive Darkness 2, and Cthulhu: Death May Die - Fear of the Unknown.
- ALBUM ART REBORN: These miniatures faithfully recreate the iconic Iron Maiden album covers.
- GAME MECHANICS REIMAGINED: Each Eddie introduces fresh, song-inspired mechanics to your favorite games.
- SONGS IN ACTION: Immerse yourself in the world of Iron Maiden with gameplay intricately tied to their music.
Choose damage that fits your plan
Yuzhi Wang is listed in S+ and described as a burst-damage hero who applies curse; the guide notes her use in dark/curse teams. Brand, in S, is described as a Warrior who can petrify and prioritize enemy Priests. Dracula, in A, is described as dealing more damage against bleeding enemies. Those effects suggest different plans: build around curse, exploit bleed, or use control to pressure a key enemy role. The guide does not provide validated full teams for these approaches.
Add healing, revival, or control where it matters
Milia is listed in S and described as a strong healer who can revive allies. Vivian, in A, is a light Priest who heals and revives; Alice, in B, also heals. Choose a support based on what your roster can field and what is actually failing—such as allies going down before your damage dealers can contribute. The guide does not quantify their healing or compare them in account-specific situations.
Rank #3

Control and defensive utility can also solve specific problems. Brand’s petrification and Priest targeting may help disrupt enemy support, while Qiqi Titan, listed in B, is described as offering damage mitigation and crowd-control immunity in some situations. The guide characterizes Qiqi Titan’s value as situational rather than a story-mode recommendation.
Build around synergy rather than isolated rankings
Once survival and damage are covered, look for effects that reinforce one another. A shared status effect gives your roster a clearer direction than simply filling every slot with a high-tier hero. The examples below are possibilities raised by the guide, not tested or guaranteed lineups.
Rank #4
- BRING EDDIE TO LIFE: Immerse yourself in the world of heavy metal with 6 iconic Eddie miniatures.
- MULTI-GAME COMPATIBILITY: Enhance your gaming experience in Zombicide 2nd Edition, Black Plague, Invader, Undead or Alive, Rising Sun, Ankh: Gods of Egypt, Massive Darkness 2, and Cthulhu Death May Die: Fear of the Unknown.

- UNIQUE GAME MECHANICS: Each Eddie introduces exciting new gameplay mechanics inspired by Iron Maiden's songs and lyrics.
- METAL MEETS BOARD GAMES: Dive into a world where heavy metal culture meets tabletop gaming in epic fashion.
Curse-focused direction
Yuzhi Wang combines burst damage with curse application and is noted for use in dark/curse teams. Talumexus also applies curse while contributing tank functions. If both are available, their described effects offer a reason to consider a curse-oriented plan while retaining a frontline role. The guide does not establish which other heroes complete that lineup or how much the shared effect improves performance.

Summer applies bleed and can revive with damage reduction; Dracula is described as gaining damage against bleeding enemies. That makes them a plausible pairing to consider if your roster supports the approach. It is not a validated best team: the source gives no full lineup, mode-specific ranking, or measured comparison for this combination.

A practical way to choose and adjust your lineup
- Identify the failure point. Note whether the frontline collapses, damage is too slow, healing is insufficient, or enemies are not being controlled.
- Fill the missing job. Consider a tank such as Talumexus, Summer, or Doudou for frontline needs; a damage option such as Yuzhi Wang for burst and curse; or a healer/reviver such as Milia or Vivian when sustain is the issue.
- Check for a useful shared effect. If your available heroes support curse or bleed, see whether their described abilities fit together instead of choosing solely by tier.
- Use tier placement as a tie-breaker. When two available heroes can address the same need, the version 1.0.23 guide’s ranking can help prioritize investment, while remaining an editorial snapshot.
- Reassess after progression or updates. The guide notes that some heroes may fall off as story progression advances. Revisit your team when its results change and check whether the game or tier-list version has moved on.
What the available rankings cannot tell you
The cited guide does not offer a mode-by-mode comparison, complete team recipes, numerical performance data, or account-specific build advice. It also does not establish that a tier placement is permanent. Use its hero descriptions and rankings to make a roster decision, then judge whether the choice addresses your own team’s actual gap.
