To request a blur of your home in Apple Maps’ Look Around imagery, email MapsImageCollection@apple.com. Identify the house and its location clearly so Apple can find the image. Apple does not publish a guaranteed review time or outcome.
What Apple’s blur request changes
Apple’s Image Collection guidance lets people request that their own house be blurred in Look Around imagery. This applies to the photographic street-level imagery, not necessarily to a map pin, address label, search result, or other address record. It also does not change imagery or listings held by Google Maps or another service; those providers have separate processes.
How to request a home blur
- Confirm the image is Look Around. Make sure the image you want changed is in Apple Maps Look Around, rather than a map label or an image from another provider.
- Email Apple’s Maps Image Collection team. Send your request to MapsImageCollection@apple.com. State that you want your house blurred in Apple Maps Look Around and give enough location detail to identify it, such as the full address and a description of the property or view.
- Review any privacy notice before submitting a report through Maps. Apple says certain Look Around blur reports may be associated with your Apple Account or email, and that the submission flow shows the account or email before you send the report.
Apple’s published guidance names the email contact but does not specify a required template or proof of residence. It also does not state how to track a request, how long review takes, what qualifies for approval, whether a blur is permanent, or whether it can be reversed.

Apple’s Maps Report an Issue privacy disclosure, dated December 12, 2025, says information associated with an Apple Account or email may be retained for up to two years for some reports, and up to five years for certain copyright-related reports. These are data-retention periods, not estimates of how long a home-blur request takes. Apple also says it may collect the direction and angle of a Look Around view when investigating imagery issues.
