There are two ways to become a Five Nights at Freddy’s character in Fortnite’s October 2026 Fortnitemares: buy an outfit in the Item Shop, or possess an animatronic boss during a match. The outfit is a cosmetic purchase; boss possession is temporary event gameplay. Epic’s listed FNAF bundle costs 4,500 V-Bucks and is scheduled to leave the shop on October 31, 2026, at 12:00 AM local time (GMT+00:00), but check the live shop before spending because offers can change.
Buy a Five Nights at Freddy’s outfit in the Item Shop
To use a character as your Fortnite cosmetic, open the Item Shop, find the Five Nights at Freddy’s offer, and purchase the outfit or bundle with V-Bucks. Epic’s listing names four outfits: Freddy Fazbear, Foxy the Pirate, Chica the Chicken, and Bonnie the Rabbit. Epic lists the bundle at 4,500 V-Bucks, compared with an original included-item total of 11,000 V-Bucks. The page gives an availability deadline of October 31, 2026, at 12:00 AM local time (GMT+00:00). These are offer-page figures, not a guarantee of what will be shown in the shop later; confirm the current price, contents, and availability in Fortnite before buying.
The official listing establishes the bundle price, but not the individual price of each outfit or whether every item can be bought separately. If you only want one character, check the live Item Shop for any individual purchase option and its current price rather than relying on estimates elsewhere.

Possess an animatronic during a Fortnitemares match
Epic also describes a Fortnitemares activity in which players can take on Five Nights at Freddy’s animatronic bosses, possess one, and terrorize the map. This is different from purchasing an outfit: it is an in-match event mechanic, not a permanent cosmetic added to your locker. Epic’s Fortnitemares announcement does not specify a complete possession route, the boss roster, exact locations, or a button sequence, so those details should not be assumed.
The announcement says the October 2026 event spans Battle Royale, Horde Rush, and Reload. It also mentions Freaky Fields and the new Nightmare Neighborhood POI in connection with Freddy Krueger; that reference does not establish an FNAF boss location.
