To place a sticker on an iPhone photo, open it in Photos, tap Edit > Markup > Add > Add Sticker, then position it and tap Done. To make a reusable sticker from a photo, touch and hold the photo’s main subject and choose Add Sticker.
Put an existing sticker on a photo
- Open the image in the Photos app and tap Edit.
- Tap Markup, then the Add button and Add Sticker.
- Choose a sticker from your collection and drag it to the desired place on the photo.
- To adjust it, drag a dot around its outline to resize it. Rotate the sticker with two fingers.
- Tap Done to finish editing.
Apple’s Markup guide describes adding stickers from the sticker collection to images and documents. Sticker packs can also be downloaded from the App Store.

Make a sticker from a photo
- Open the photo full screen in Photos.
- Touch and hold the main subject until it lifts from the background, then release.
- Tap Add Sticker. The new sticker is saved in your sticker collection.
Apple’s iPhone guide to making stickers lists effects including Outline, Comic, and Puffy. You can find saved stickers from the sticker menu when using the onscreen keyboard or Markup.

Make an animated sticker from a Live Photo
With a Live Photo, touch and hold the subject and slide it up until a duplicate appears. Release it, then choose Add Sticker. Apple says the sticker can be animated; use Add Effect to turn the Live Photo animation on or off. See Apple’s Live Photo sticker instructions.

Reuse or remove saved stickers
Your saved stickers are available from the sticker menu in the iPhone onscreen keyboard and in Markup. Apple says stickers sync with iCloud and are available on supported iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Vision Pro devices signed in to the same Apple Account.
To remove one, open a photo in Photos, tap Edit > Markup > Add > Add Sticker. Touch and hold the sticker you want to delete, then tap Remove.
