To enable ecommerce on an existing site in manual mode, open the site editor, choose Online store → Add store, and connect or select the intended ecommerce store. You will need an active ecommerce subscription to manage the store and accept payments.

Connect a store to your existing website

  1. Open the site editor for the website you want to turn into a store.

  2. In the left panel, expand Online store and click Add store.

  3. Choose the ecommerce store to add and click Continue. If you already have the store you want, select it when prompted.

  4. Expand Online store again and click Manage store.

  5. Enter the business title, choose the store’s country and preferred currency, then continue to the store manager.

Start this process from the editor of the existing website. Adding a sales channel from the ecommerce dashboard can create a new website instead of connecting the store to the site you already have. The manual-mode connection guide describes the editor-based flow.

Set up products and make them visible

In manual mode, the store guide lists support for up to 1,000 products and 50 options per product. Product types include physical and digital goods, services, donations, and appointments. These are stated platform limits; they do not indicate that every product type is suitable for every business.

Creating a product also creates its product page, but it does not automatically add that product to the site’s other pages. To display products, return to the website editor and use Pages and navigation → Add section → Online store. Add a product list or a single-product section. A list can show all products or products from a selected category.

Configure payments, shipping, and checkout

Payments

In the store manager, open Store settings → Payments to configure online or manual/offline payment methods. Which online payment options are available can depend on your country and account; check the options shown in your store rather than assuming a particular gateway is supported.

Shipping

For shippable products, open Store settings → Shipping to set up shipping zones and options. The manual-mode guide lists unlimited zones and up to 20 shipping options per zone.

Store details and checkout

Before launch, review store details, company information, checkout settings, customer emails, taxes, and invoices. Tax requirements depend on your business and jurisdiction; the setup guide does not establish what you must collect or report.

The shopping bag is controlled through the website header settings. Checkout language is under Store settings → Checkout → Checkout language. Disabling the bag may suit express-checkout setups for a single product or donation, but confirm the resulting purchase flow works for your store.

Test checkout before publishing

  1. Create a low-priced test product of the same type as the products you plan to sell, then add it to a visible product section.

  2. Enable the shopping bag if your checkout flow uses it.

  3. Place an order. With a manual payment method, you can test the flow without making an actual payment; the order remains awaiting payment. Testing an online payment method involves an actual payment.

  4. When testing is finished, delete the test product.

These steps follow the manual-mode test-order guidance. Use care with online-payment tests so you understand whether a charge will be made.

Publish the ecommerce changes

Check the store status badge before you consider the setup complete. It indicates whether the site is not yet live, is live with ecommerce changes synced, or has changes that still require a site update or republish. If products or settings do not appear on the public site, verify that you added product sections and that the latest site changes have been published.

Manual mode is different from agentic mode

This workflow applies to manual mode: store connection and configuration happen through editor panels and the store manager. Agentic mode uses a separate chat-connected workflow and has distinct documented features and limits. Do not assume that its product limits or automation behavior apply to a manual-mode store.

Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date/time indicated and are subject to change. Any price and availability information displayed on Amazon at the time of purchase will apply.
