Yes—you can add another SiriusXM radio to an existing account, and it may qualify for a reduced rate. The discount is conditional: at least one subscription on the account must be an active, full-price qualifying plan, and some plans are excluded. SiriusXM does not publish one universal price for a second subscription, so check the quote and renewal terms in your Online Account Center before activating.
How much does a second SiriusXM subscription cost?
There is no single public price that applies to every second radio. SiriusXM directs current subscribers to the Online Account Center to see whether their plan qualifies for a reduced rate and what price is offered for their account. Check the recurring renewal amount as well as any introductory price before you accept.
SiriusXM says eligibility requires at least one active, full-price qualifying subscription; not all plans qualify. Its additional-subscription guidance also warns that changing the number of subscriptions or changing a plan may affect future pricing. The Customer Agreement says reduced rates may be available for multiple qualifying subscriptions and that SiriusXM may discontinue the discount for future availability.
Promotional prices shown on SiriusXM’s plans page are not evidence of a standard second-radio rate. For example, the page displayed selected offers at $1 for three months on October 7, 2026; those introductory offers may not apply to an additional subscription and can change. Offers renew automatically at then-current rates until cancelled under their terms, and taxes or other fees may apply.

How to add a radio already installed in another vehicle
- Register for or sign in to your SiriusXM account.
- Open the Subscriptions tab.
- In the Don’t see your subscription area, choose Find subscription.
- Enter the second radio’s Radio ID and follow the prompts.
- Review the account-specific price, renewal terms, and other details before completing activation.
SiriusXM’s multi-vehicle help page describes this account flow. If the radio is not recognized, confirm you entered its Radio ID correctly and follow the account prompts; eligibility and the price offered depend on the account and plan.
What if the second vehicle has no SiriusXM radio?
You will need compatible radio hardware as well as a subscription. SiriusXM identifies portable radios and Dock & Play radios as options; it describes Dock & Play units as movable between a car and home. Confirm a receiver’s compatibility with your vehicle and its current availability before buying. Buying hardware does not itself include service, so check the separate subscription cost.

Could app listening replace another radio subscription?
It may, depending on how you listen and what programming you want. SiriusXM says its popular in-car plans include app listening and also offers an app-only plan. If you can connect your phone to the second vehicle’s stereo, compare that setup with activating another satellite radio. - Your account’s actual quote: Check whether your existing plan qualifies and whether the displayed amount is introductory, recurring, or prepaid.
- Eligibility: A reduced rate requires an active, full-price qualifying plan on the account; some plans do not qualify.
- Equipment: Confirm the second vehicle has a compatible radio, or account separately for a suitable receiver.
- Listening method: Decide whether a second satellite radio is necessary or whether app access through the vehicle stereo meets your needs.
