Taz Zammit, a content creator who runs a couple’s account with her girlfriend on popular social platforms, uses Clockify in three connected ways. She checks where her working hours actually go, she organizes work into projects and tasks, and she tags each task against three major goals she sets every year. She credits this routine with making her more productive and with helping the two of them reach all of their financial goals last year. Those outcomes are her own account, as Clockify published it in a customer story.
Who Zammit is and what her workload looks like
Clockify’s customer story describes Zammit as a content creator whose account grew in popularity, and her work grew with it. The story says the job now balances brand management with creative work. The page lists the business at three employees and names Projects and Timer as her favorite features. Those are details from Clockify’s own page. They were not independently verified, so treat the team size as the company’s description of her business at the time it was published.
Checking whether brand deals are crowding out other work
The first habit is a periodic review of how time is spent. Zammit describes noticing that some weeks and months her hours tilt toward brand deals and email. She treats that as acceptable occasionally, but not as a steady pattern:

“Some weeks and months, I notice that my time is going more to working on brand deals and emails. And that’s okay now and then. But if it were every month, that would be a problem. So, it’s good to check yourself to make sure you’re on track.”

— Taz Zammit, Clockify customer story
The useful part of this review is that it compares the actual mix of work against what she wants the business to prioritize. A log of hours on its own tells you little. A log checked against priorities shows drift early enough to correct it.
How she organizes the work
According to the story, Zammit makes work more visible by sorting time entries into projects and tasks, then starting a timer against them. The story describes the following sequence:

- Select the project the work belongs to.
- Start the timer before you begin the session.
- Let the entry carry its categories: description, task, project and client.
The story does not give menu names or button labels for these steps, so use the current Clockify interface to locate the timer and the project field. The categories matter because they let the same log be read several ways, by client, by project, or by the task type that is taking up the most time.

Tying every task to three yearly goals with tags
The second layer of her system connects individual tasks to longer-term targets. Zammit says the couple sets three major goals each year, and she keeps those three goals as tags in Clockify. Her description of the habit is direct:

“I use tags to set specific goals I’m working towards. So, we set 3 major goals every year, and I’ve got those 3 goals in tags. For every task I work on, I’m always thinking — how does this relate to our major goals of the year?”
— Taz Zammit, Clockify customer story
Adapted as a routine, the method looks like this:
- Set a small number of goals for the year. Zammit uses three.
- Create one tag for each goal in your time tracker.
- Apply the matching tag to each time entry as you log it.
- Before starting a task, ask how it advances one of the tagged goals.
Zammit does not describe what she does with work that matches none of her goals, such as routine admin or an unplanned request. That is a gap in the account, and a reader adopting the method will need to decide it for themselves.

How this compares with the spreadsheet approach at her former company
Before running her own business, Zammit worked at a company with a globally dispersed team. According to the story, the team used Excel sheets to track availability and work sessions. Clockify improved visibility into who was online and what each person was working on, and Zammit says she kept using it after she started her own business.
| Aspect | Excel sheets (former team, per the story) | Clockify (per the story) |
|---|---|---|
| Team availability | Tracked in Excel sheets | Shows who was online |
| Work sessions | Tracked in Excel sheets | Shows what people were working on |
| Team spread | Globally dispersed team | Improved visibility across that team |
| Use after going solo | Not stated | Zammit says she kept using it |
The story presents this as a change in visibility, not as a measured gain in output. No comparison with other tools is made, so the table should not be read as a verdict that Clockify beats spreadsheets in general.

What the evidence supports and what it does not
- Source type. The workflow comes from a vendor-published customer story on Clockify’s site, titled “How a TikToker Aced Goal Tracking With Clockify.” The page shows no publication date, and the story gives no interview date.
- The brochure is not independent. A 2025 Clockify customer brochure, titled “Customers stick with Clockify” and hosted by CAKE.com, reprints the productivity and financial-goal quote. It confirms that the company published the statement. It does not test whether the statement is accurate.
- One creator’s experience. The account describes one person’s routine. No independent study or measured productivity figure supports the workflow.
- Financial goals are not a causal result. Zammit links her financial goals to focus, and she credits time tracking for that focus. Her account does not establish that Clockify caused the outcome.
- Contextual numbers only. “3 employees” and “3 major goals every year” are descriptive details from the vendor story, not research statistics.
Taken together, the workflow is a clear, concrete example of how a creator with several revenue streams can use projects, task categories and yearly goal tags. It is not evidence about how much Clockify improves productivity for anyone else.
