The practical workflow is straightforward: connect your accounts, choose TikTok as the source and YouTube Shorts as the destination, configure publishing rules, and let the service send future videos automatically. The reported three-month promotion was time-limited and its availability today has not been verified.
What the February 2025 partnership did
BetaNews reported on February 7, 2025, that YouTube and Repurpose.io were making it easier for selected TikTok and Instagram creators to distribute short-form videos to YouTube Shorts. An email included in an Australian eSafety document set likewise described transferring or uploading TikTok content directly to YouTube Shorts. That correspondence corroborates the basic function, but it is not a standalone setup manual.
The arrangement was about automated distribution, not a new TikTok editing feature or a guarantee of additional views. Repurpose.io acts as the connection between a source account and a destination account, using platform APIs according to the company’s product materials.

How the automated workflow works
1. Connect the accounts
Create or sign in to Repurpose.io and authorize the TikTok account that contains the videos. Connect the YouTube channel that should receive the Shorts. Repurpose.io’s support material says the person connecting a YouTube channel must have owner permissions for that channel; a manager-level role may not be sufficient.

2. Choose a source and destination
Select TikTok as the source and YouTube Shorts as the destination. Repurpose.io’s Quick Start Guide describes the same general pattern for other combinations, including Instagram, YouTube and Google Drive.
3. Create a workflow
Set the source-to-destination workflow, then review the available publishing controls in your account. Depending on the plan and current product interface, controls can include whether posts publish automatically or wait for approval, how titles and descriptions are handled, and whether older videos are included. Confirm these options in the live Repurpose.io interface before enabling automatic publishing.

4. Turn on future publishing
After the workflow is enabled, newly eligible TikTok videos can be sent to YouTube Shorts without a separate manual upload for each video. Check the first few transfers in YouTube Studio to verify that the correct channel, visibility setting, caption treatment and video format are being used.
What you need before connecting YouTube
- Access to the TikTok account you want to repurpose.
- Owner permissions for the target YouTube channel, as stated in Repurpose.io’s help material.
- A Repurpose.io account and a plan that currently permits YouTube as a destination. The company’s support documentation says YouTube is available as a destination during the free trial; plan rules can change, so check the current terms.

BetaNews said selected TikTok and Instagram creators were offered three months of Repurpose.io access at no cost. It also reported that continuing after the offer would start at $349 per year. Those were terms reported on February 7, 2025. The available evidence does not establish that the offer, eligibility rules or price remain current, so treat them as historical details rather than a present-day deal.

Can Repurpose.io automatically post TikTok videos to YouTube Shorts?
