The Ninja DualBrew uses two different setups: install the Ninja Pod Adapter to brew a compatible K-Cup pod, or put measured grounds in a filtered brew basket and cover it with the Ninja Grounds Adapter. Do not put loose grounds directly into the basket. Pod compatibility and available brew sizes vary by model, so check your brewer’s model number before following model-specific settings.
How to brew ground coffee

Open the brewer lid and make sure the brew basket is installed.

Place a #4 cone paper filter or a compatible permanent filter in the basket. If using paper, fold and seat it fully.

Measure ground coffee with the Ninja Smart Scoop or the serving-size chart in your model’s owner’s guide. Use level scoops and adjust to taste; there is no single scoop amount for every serving size.

Seat the Ninja Grounds Adapter over the brew basket, aligning it with the basket handle.

Close the lid, choose a grounds size and brew style, and start brewing using the controls for your exact model.

Ninja’s owner’s guide explicitly says, “DO NOT place ground coffee directly in the brew basket without a filter.” It also warns that a grind finer than recommended may cause the basket to overflow; using fewer scoops of decaffeinated coffee can help prevent overflow. Open the brewer and install the brew basket if it is not already in place.

Place the Ninja Pod Adapter over the brew basket. This is the component Ninja identifies for K-Cup pod brewing.

Choose an available pod size and brew style, then start the brew using your model’s controls.

For the CFP301, Ninja says most K-Cup pods are compatible and recommends Keurig-branded pods for best results. “Most” does not mean every pod is guaranteed to work. Ninja also says reusable K-Cup filters are not compatible with the DualBrew. To brew loose grounds, use the grounds setup instead. These compatibility statements are on the Ninja CFP301 product page.

The size counts and ounce options in this table are CFP301 specifications listed by Ninja, not claims about every DualBrew variant. Pod and grounds choices are different modes, so do not assume the same sizes are offered for both.

Check your model before applying settings or replacing parts
“DualBrew” refers to more than one model. Ninja’s support materials list separate series and model guides, so use the guide for the model number on your machine rather than assuming the CFP301 controls apply to another version. Ninja lists Pod Adapter part 142KKW300 and removable brew basket part 133KKW300 as compatible with CFP201, CFP250A, CFP300, CFP301, CFP305, CFP451CO, CFP451CCO, and CFP307. Confirm that your model is on the relevant part’s compatibility list before ordering: Pod Adapter 142KKW300 and Removable Brew Basket 133KKW300.
