Comcast Business phone pricing depends on which service you need: Voice Mobility is priced per line, while hosted Business VoiceEdge is priced by seat and may add equipment or optional-service charges. In a Massachusetts price list effective May 1, 2026, VoiceEdge seats range from $24.95 to $44.95 per month, plus a listed $14.95 equipment fee. Those are local published rates—not a quote for every address. Comcast says availability and pricing vary by location, so get written terms for your service address before choosing.

Which Comcast Business phone service are you pricing?

Comcast sells several business voice services that solve different problems. Compare the deployment model and workflow first; a per-line price for one service cannot be compared directly with a per-seat price for another.

Voice Mobility: a business number across devices

Comcast describes Voice Mobility as a business number usable across devices for office, point-of-sale, or fax use, with unlimited nationwide calling and popular calling features. Business.com describes mobile integration and says it can support small and midsize businesses. Its line rate may depend on local pricing and whether another Comcast service is bundled. See Comcast’s business voice options and confirm local rates and bundle eligibility.

Business VoiceEdge: hosted phone system and collaboration

VoiceEdge is a hosted cloud phone and unified communications service. Comcast lists features including call forwarding controls, readable voicemail, one-touch hold and transfer, extensions, hunt groups, call waiting, shared call appearance, busy lamp field, voicemail-to-email, music on hold, and call monitoring. Comcast says new customers may be able to get VoiceEdge with Webex for video conferencing, messaging, and collaboration; verify availability and included capabilities for the seat being quoted. Comcast’s VoiceEdge page describes the service.

UCaaS Sessions: connect qualifying existing systems

Business.com describes UCaaS Sessions as over-the-top SIP trunking priced per concurrent session, intended to connect qualifying PBX, contact center, or Microsoft Teams deployments. Treat it as an option to investigate if your organization already runs one of those systems, not as a guaranteed plug-and-play replacement. Confirm qualification, configuration, capacity, and quote details with Comcast.

PRI and SIP trunks: retain or scale a phone-system deployment

Comcast presents PRI as an option for organizations with existing PBX equipment and SIP trunking as a scalable option for multi-site deployments with continuity features. These services are not the same as buying hosted VoiceEdge seats; ask how the proposed trunking service fits your equipment, locations, and call capacity. Comcast’s phone and voice solutions page outlines these categories.

What will change the total on your quote?

Comcast’s terms page says its pricing lists are location-specific and the service may not be available everywhere. Its terms describe the service as an “Internet Protocol (IP)-enabled communications service offering real time, multidirectional voice functionality.” A published list price or reviewer example therefore cannot establish what your business will pay at its service address. Read Comcast’s business voice terms and request a written breakdown.

Is Comcast Business a good fit for your organization?

Business.com’s assessment favors Comcast for larger or multi-location organizations with complex network needs, a preference for Comcast services, or teams standardized on Webex or Microsoft Teams. It cautions that small businesses seeking self-service pricing transparency may want to compare other providers; availability varies by market and enterprise pricing may require a quote. These are the reviewer’s judgments, not findings from hands-on testing for this article. Read the review’s assessment.

Use these questions to compare Comcast’s proposal with other options:

  • Total cost: Compare recurring seat or line rates alongside equipment, bundles, taxes, fees, optional features, installation, promotion length, and the post-promotion price.
  • Deployment: Decide whether a hosted cloud system, a trunk connected to your existing PBX, or an over-the-top session service fits your setup.
  • Calling workflow: Confirm the needed extensions, hunt groups, auto attendant, call queue, voicemail, forwarding, and mobile use.
  • Collaboration: Verify whether the quoted seat includes the Webex or Teams capabilities you need, and whether meetings or messaging are part of your workflow.
  • Hardware: Determine whether users need physical phones and whether the proposed models are supported.
  • Scale and location: Check address availability, multiple-office requirements, concurrent-call capacity, and administration needs.
  • Contract: Review commitment, discounts, early termination, renewal rates, and dependence on other Comcast services.

Business.com names Dialpad, Nextiva, and RingCentral as candidates to compare for businesses seeking flexible pricing or broader built-in collaboration. They are comparison candidates, not a tested ranking.

What to confirm before buying a desk phone

Comcast’s VoiceEdge service agreement says a Basic Seat requires an associated physical device to complete calls. The reviewed sources do not identify compatible third-party handset models, so do not assume a particular business VoIP desk phone will work. Ask Comcast to confirm the exact model and configuration before purchasing hardware. See the VoiceEdge Product-Specific Attachment.
