Minecraft’s official U.S. pricing page lists Realms at $3.99 USD per month for Bedrock Realms and $7.99 USD per month for Bedrock Realms Plus or Java Realms. These are recurring monthly subscriptions, not one-time prices. Regional and platform checkout prices may differ, so confirm the amount shown where you subscribe.

Which Realm should you choose?
Choose by Minecraft edition
Pick the plan that matches the edition your group plays. Bedrock Realms works with Bedrock players on supported Bedrock platforms. Java Realms supports Java Edition on Windows, macOS, and Linux. Realms cross-play works within the same edition; Java and Bedrock players cannot join the same Realm.
Choose by simultaneous player count
Bedrock Realms allows the owner and two other players to play at once. Bedrock Realms Plus and Java Realms allow the owner and ten others. Minecraft lists an invitation limit of up to 10,000 friends, but that is not the number who can be online in the Realm at the same time.

Consider Marketplace Pass access
Among these plans, Marketplace Pass catalog access is included with Bedrock Realms Plus. The standard Bedrock tier and Java Realms do not include that catalog access.
Do invited friends need to pay?
No. Friends invited to play do not need their own Realms subscription. Console players may still need a separate online-service subscription from their platform provider.

What the subscription includes
Each subscription provides one personal server that stays online, backups, and three world slots. Only one of those stored worlds can be active and playable at a time. Minecraft describes these features on its Realms page and Bedrock purchasing and setup guide.

Free trial, renewal, and expired worlds
Trial and recurring billing
Some qualifying users may receive a 30-day trial; eligibility is not universal. The subscription automatically renews unless canceled, and the applicable monthly fee begins after the trial. Check the terms shown during signup for the details that apply to your account.

Downloading a world after expiration
Minecraft says you can download Realm worlds for 18 months after the subscription expires. Resubscribing within that period restores access to the Realm. See Minecraft’s official Realms FAQ for its stated post-expiration terms.
