Maiden Academy’s tier list is best used as a broad recommendation, not a rule that the highest-ranked hero belongs in every lineup. The current Pocket Gamer list uses S+, S, A, B, and C tiers; it points to light and dark heroes as generally strong, but also stresses exceptions, individual abilities, and team synergy. Check what your roster needs before choosing.
What the tiers tell you
The Pocket Gamer Maiden Academy tier list groups heroes into S+, S, A, B, and C. It describes light and dark heroes as generally strong, while noting exceptions. That is a rule of thumb, not a complete ranking method: the guide also discusses each hero’s role, abilities, and fit with a team.
The page is marked updated October 3, 2026, for game version 1.0.23. Treat the placements as version-bound advice and revisit the list after game updates.
Why role and synergy can matter more than rarity alone
A hero’s usefulness depends partly on what the lineup lacks and whether teammates can make the hero’s abilities more effective. The list’s examples show several kinds of fit:
#1 Best Overall
- Samurai Eddie comes straight from the 2021 SENJUTSU album cover, featuring armor-clad Eddie from the past.
- Cyborg Eddie is based on the futuristic cover art from the classic 1986 album SOMEWHERE IN TIME.
- They come in beautiful, double gate-folded window boxed packaging perfect for collectors.
- Tank and control: Talumexus (S+) is described as a tank with counterattacks, curse, and taunt. Doudou (A) also has taunt and counterattack, but the guide ranks Doudou below stronger replacements.
- Damage with team conditions: Yuzhi Wang (S+) is described as a damage dealer who can perform especially well with the right lineup, including a dark/curse team. Dracula (A) benefits from teammates that support his bleed-based damage.
- Survival and recovery: Anna Annie (S+) combines tanking and healing, while Milia (S) is described as a strong healer who can revive allies.
- Disruption: Brand (S), a Warrior, can petrify enemies and prioritizes enemy Priests.
These placements and descriptions are Pocket Gamer’s editorial evaluations, not independently verified game-performance findings. The article says its recommendations follow extensive testing, but no formal test protocol or independent validation is established here.
How to choose between heroes
- Identify the gap in your lineup. Decide whether you need more damage, tanking, healing, control, or another support function. Some heroes cover more than one need.
- Check ability conditions. Consider whether your existing heroes can support effects such as Dracula’s bleed damage or Yuzhi Wang’s dark/curse team fit.
- Use tier as a comparison, not a command. When two heroes fill the same need, the list’s higher placement can help guide your choice. A lower-tier hero may still make more sense if the lineup needs that hero’s particular role or synergy.
- Factor in development. The official Google Play listing describes summoning and developing heroes through levels, star ratings, skills, and equipment, and advises mixing heroes with faction and profession balance in mind. Those progression choices sit alongside tier placement when building a roster.
What the list does—and does not—establish
The tier labels communicate the guide’s overall recommendations; they are not an objective in-game stat. The available article does not establish a numerical scoring formula, a mode-by-mode ranking system, a detailed testing protocol, or win rates and pick rates. It also does not quantify the relative upgrade costs of heroes, so tier placement alone cannot tell you which hero is cheapest to develop.
Rank #2
- Incredibly detailed 6” scale figure featuring IRON MAIDEN'S TROOPER EDDIE likeness
- Designed with up to 12 points of articulation for posing and play
- Accessories include sword & spear with Union Jack flag
- Includes art card with numbered certificate of authenticity

The Google Play listing describes Maiden Academy as a mobile idle RPG with summoning, hero development, equipment, and multiple gameplay modes. Its displayed “100K+ downloads” label is a store download band, not a count of active players or unique users.
