Can you still use Gemini 1.5 Flash?
Not through Firebase AI Logic. Google’s supported-models page says that all Gemini 1.0 and Gemini 1.5 models are shut down there and that requests to them return 404 errors: Firebase AI Logic supported models. That is a service-specific statement; it should not be stretched into a claim about every API or integration without checking its documentation.
Google’s Gemini API model catalog lists Gemini 2.5 Flash Live as a low-latency, bidirectional voice-and-video model: Gemini API models. Its presence in the catalog does not make it a drop-in replacement for this app. Whether it fits depends on the actual audio path, the format and structure of the requested SOP, and the API the app uses. Google’s Gemini deprecations documentation explains that listed shutdown dates mark the earliest possible retirement date and that shut-down models are turned off; it does not provide a basis here for assigning a specific Gemini 1.5 Flash shutdown date.

- Login and credentials: Clarify whether “zero-login” refers only to end users, and identify whether the application still needs a developer API key or server-side credentials. Do not expose secrets in browser code.
- Voice input: State how audio is captured and delivered, and whether the app converts speech to text before generating the SOP.
- Generation and validation: Show what input and requested fields go to the model, and how the response is handled if it is incomplete or not in the expected format.
- Data lifecycle: Explain whether inputs and outputs are retained, where they are stored, and what controls users have over generated content.
- Current model support: Name the exact model and API used, and verify that the chosen model is supported for the app’s real workload rather than assuming a newer model is compatible.
Without those facts, it would be misleading to claim that the app is private, secure, accurate, compliant, tested, or production-ready. No such properties follow from “zero-login” alone.
