Battlefield 6 events offer rewards for completing event-specific activities before a limited-time window closes. The current Deep Six Collection Event is listed through October 12, 2026, and asks players in Battlefield 6 and REDSEC to complete contracts and gather intel devices. EA says completing the collection unlocks the Royal Navy Dive Knife, also called Diver’s Knife in the update notes.
What do you do in the current Deep Six event?
Deep Six is a collection event spanning Battlefield 6 and REDSEC. EA describes its progression as completing contracts and gathering intel devices, with the Royal Navy Dive Knife as the full-collection reward. The update notes call the reward the Diver’s Knife. EA has not stated the number of contracts, intel devices, or individual reward steps required in the cited event information.
EA’s current Battlefield 6 page lists Deep Six as available until October 12, 2026. Its September 14 event guide originally gave September 15–29 as the event window, while the later update notes and current game page list October 12 as the endpoint. There is no single activity or reward format that applies to every Battlefield 6 event. Deep Six uses contracts and intel collection to progress through a collection toward a named final reward. Top Gun used a different structure: EA said its Event Challenges awarded Ace Medals, which players could spend on Top Gun-themed cosmetics in the Event menu. Ace Medals were specific to Top Gun; EA does not identify them as a Deep Six currency.

EA’s Game Update 1.4.2.0 notes describe the Top Gun mechanics. The available information does not establish event difficulty or how long completion takes, so those cannot be reliably compared.

EA’s limited-time Season 4 trial disclaimer says the trial requires Battlefield REDSEC and all game updates. It also says Battlefield 6 must be purchased afterward to continue playing the full game; the trial’s timing is subject to change. How to plan for an event deadline
- Check the current event listing. Use EA’s Battlefield 6 page rather than relying only on an older announcement, since Deep Six’s stated end date changed.
- Identify the event’s own activities and reward track. For Deep Six, EA names contracts and intel devices; for Top Gun, it named Event Challenges and Ace Medals. Do not assume one event’s currency or activity carries over to another.
- Confirm access before you start. The limited-time trial terms distinguish access through Battlefield REDSEC from continued play of the full Battlefield 6 game.
- Allow for what EA has not specified. The cited Deep Six materials do not give exact activity thresholds, so they are not enough to calculate how many tasks remain or guarantee completion time.
