An n8n review-monitoring workflow can receive review text, classify it with the Sentiment Analysis node, and send selected results to Telegram. The key setup choice is how reviews enter the workflow: use a Webhook when the review service can push events, or another suitable trigger or integration when it cannot. The title does not specify a review platform or a particular workflow configuration, so those details depend on the implementation.
How does review monitoring with n8n and Telegram work?
The workflow connects four stages: review ingestion, text classification, routing, and notification. n8n’s Webhook node can start a workflow when an external service sends it event data. The Sentiment Analysis node then classifies a selected text field, and the Telegram node can deliver a message to a chat.
- Receive the review. Configure an appropriate trigger for the source. If that service can send events to a URL, a Webhook is one option.
- Pass the review text to classification. Select the incoming field containing the review. By default, the Sentiment Analysis node expects a field named
text. - Route the result. Connect sentiment categories to the paths you want, such as sending negative reviews to an alert path while leaving other results unannounced.
- Send a Telegram message. Configure the Telegram node’s Send Message operation and provide valid Telegram credentials and a destination chat.
This describes a practical design using documented n8n node capabilities; it does not establish that a specific template has these exact branches or has been tested. See n8n’s Webhook node documentation, Sentiment Analysis node documentation, and Telegram node documentation.
Choose how reviews enter the workflow
Use a Webhook for sources that can push events
A Webhook is suitable when the review service can send review data to an n8n URL as an event occurs. n8n provides separate test and production URLs: register the test URL while the workflow is listening for a test event, and register the production URL when the workflow is published. If the review service cannot push events, choose another suitable trigger or integration rather than assuming a Webhook can retrieve reviews by itself.

The Webhook node offers Basic, Header, JWT, or no authentication. Its documented default maximum payload is 16 MB; n8n says self-hosters can change this limit with N8N_PAYLOAD_SIZE_MAX. These are node and configuration details, not requirements that apply identically to every review source. Refer to the n8n Webhook documentation for the relevant settings.
Map the review field deliberately
Incoming data may use a field name other than text. In the Sentiment Analysis node, choose the field that actually contains the review so the classifier analyzes the customer’s words rather than unrelated metadata. n8n’s Sentiment Analysis documentation describes the input-field setting and its default.

Set categories and decide what triggers an alert
Keep the categories actionable
The node’s default categories are Positive, Neutral, and Negative, and the categories can be changed. Keep that simple set if the team only needs to distinguish broadly favorable, mixed or neutral, and unfavorable feedback. More specific labels, such as Very Positive, Disappointed, or Angry, can add nuance, but only use them if someone will act on the distinction downstream.

Choose between all-review notifications and filtered alerts
Decide whether Telegram should receive every classified review or only categories that need attention. A separate alert path for negative or otherwise actionable results can reduce routine noise; sending all reviews may be more useful when the chat is also intended as a review log. This routing is a workflow design choice based on the node’s category output, not a guaranteed configuration of a named template.

Select a private chat or channel
Telegram’s node supports sending a message to a chat. For most message operations, the bot must be added to a Telegram channel before it can post there. Use a private chat or a channel according to who needs to see the alerts, and verify the destination and credentials as part of setup. Telegram documents its developer interface in the Bot API reference.
What sentiment results can—and cannot—tell you
n8n describes detailed sentiment strength and confidence values as language-model estimates and rough indicators. They should not be presented as calibrated probabilities or validated accuracy scores. The documentation also warns that performance can vary by input language and recommends choosing a model that supports the text language.

For high-volume processing, n8n recommends splitting text into smaller chunks to optimize processing time and resource use. Complex sentiment tasks may require iterative refinement of prompts or categories. See the Sentiment Analysis node documentation for those considerations.

No measured classification accuracy or execution result is established for the title’s specific template. Test the actual workflow with representative reviews in the languages it will receive, and inspect whether the classifications and routing make sense before relying on notifications. Include examples such as:
Best Value
- Very short reviews that provide little context.
- Sarcasm and mixed praise-and-criticism.
- Domain-specific terms, slang, or wording common in your customer feedback.
- Reviews in each language the workflow is expected to handle.
Review false positives and missed negative feedback, then adjust the categories, model, or routing if necessary. Treat this as operational validation of your configuration, not as evidence of a published accuracy percentage.
