Adesso Spain’s Clockify customer story describes a practical planning loop: record time against projects and tasks, set approximate estimates, then review reports to understand how work is progressing and where resources may need attention. COO Marc Carreras says the team adopted this approach after relying on Excel and other less integrated solutions. Clockify publishes the account, so it is a description of the company’s reported experience—not independent proof of productivity gains.
What Adesso Spain says it needed
In Clockify’s account, Carreras says the team wanted better visibility into time spent on tasks and projects to allocate resources more effectively. He characterizes the earlier Excel spreadsheets and other less integrated solutions as lacking automation and real-time visibility. The story lists Adesso Spain as having 86 employees and says it is part of the Adesso Group, described there as having over 10,000 employees in more than 60 countries; the story does not date those figures, so they should not be read as current counts. How the team used Clockify in its planning workflow
1. Track time by task and project
The team recorded time against tasks and projects and categorized work by projects and clients, according to the customer story. Carreras says, “Tracking time spent on tasks and projects allows us to have greater control over hours worked.” This gives a project lead a record of where working hours went, which can help make workload discussions more concrete than relying on memory or disconnected spreadsheets.
2. Set approximate estimates
Carreras says, “We use the estimation functionality to define approximate times per task and project.” Estimates provide a reference point to compare with tracked time: if actual hours move beyond an estimate, a team can investigate the difference and consider what it means for progress or future planning. The story presents this as the purpose of using estimates; it does not report measured improvement in estimate accuracy.

That is general product context, not evidence that Adesso Spain used every forecasting capability. Clockify project forecasting
3. Review reports to assess work and resources
According to the story, the team used detailed, weekly, and summary reports. Carreras says, “We use reports to measure efficiency and optimize resources.” Reports can turn recorded hours into a view of work over time, giving managers information to consider when reviewing project effort and assigning capacity. The account does not specify particular report settings or quantify the effect of those reviews. Clockify’s Adesso Spain customer story

How time tracking can support project planning
Time tracking is useful to planning when it creates information a team can act on: who worked on what, how recorded effort compares with an estimate, and how work is distributed across projects or clients. Adesso Spain’s described workflow connects those pieces—tracking, estimates, and reports—rather than treating a timesheet as an end in itself.
Clockify’s current planning page describes a general workflow that can include setting up projects and tasks, scheduling assignments, tracking time, forecasting from scheduled and tracked hours, and analyzing progress. That page explains product capabilities, not which ones Adesso Spain used. Clockify planning

What the case study does—and does not—establish
The account supports a qualitative description of Adesso Spain’s stated workflow and the reasons Carreras gives for using it. It does not provide an independently measured before-and-after result for productivity, forecast accuracy, resource utilization, or cost. The reported aim of optimizing resources should therefore be distinguished from proof that a specific improvement occurred.
Adesso Spain’s own site describes project-management services and a methodology intended for both agile and traditionally organized projects. That provides company context, but it does not independently confirm the company’s Clockify use. Adesso Spain project-management services
