Structured gaming can give older adults a welcoming way to learn online games, practice digital communication, and meet other players. In Franklin County, Ohio, LevelUpLand runs a hybrid program for residents aged 60 and older, with weekly, year-round activities that include a senior esports league. It is a local learning and community program—not the same organization as a separate competitive league for adults 25 and older.
How LevelUpLand’s senior esports program works
LevelUpLand Ohio’s senior-program page describes a hybrid mix of online and in-person activities for Franklin County residents aged 60 and older. The organization says programming runs weekly throughout the year and invites prospective participants to email info@levelsunlocked.com for details.
The Senior Esports League is built around organized play and learning. Participants learn specific online games as well as how to communicate online and play together in an organized setting. The page does not identify game titles, devices, or a required gaming platform, so ask the organization what is currently offered before buying equipment or making plans.

Try games before joining organized play
LevelUpLand also lists Senior Gaming Day, where participants can try PC games, consoles, racing simulators, and virtual-reality headsets with trained staff. That offers a chance to explore different types of gaming in person rather than needing to arrive with experience or a particular setup.

What participants may get from organized gaming
Learning a game with other people creates a practical reason to use technology, communicate online, and take part in a shared activity. LevelUpLand presents social connection, technology use, online safety, and engagement through gaming as goals of its senior programming. Those are program aims, not established clinical outcomes: the cited program materials do not provide independent evidence that participation reduces loneliness, improves cognition, or produces health benefits.

LevelUpLand’s ongoing senior programming is distinct from Senior Esports USA, a competitive-team initiative described by the Health-e-Gamer Foundation. The event was listed for December 1–7, 2026, in Los Angeles. The announcement also described health education and coaching on physical and cognitive health, nutrition, emotional intelligence, and mental wellness.

It did not provide a measurement method or a more specific measurement date, so this should be understood as the foundation’s reported reach rather than an independently audited count. The announcement named Levels Unlocked Enterprises, Esports Foundry, Game Arena, Franklin County agencies, and the City of Columbus as partners. See Senior Esports USA’s announcement for the initiative and event details.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Do not confuse it with the 25-and-older Senior Esports League
A separate website called Senior Esports League describes competitive gaming for adults aged 25 and older, with age-based divisions, tournaments, a community, and potential prizes. That is a different organization and model from LevelUpLand Ohio’s local program for people aged 60 and older. The separate league’s website is Senior Esports League; its offerings should not be assumed to be available through LevelUpLand.
