In Hostinger AI Builder manual mode, line spacing is controlled by the Line height setting. You can apply it in two places: to a whole text style, so every matching text element on the site changes together, or to a single text element. Which one you use depends on whether you want consistency across the site or a one-off adjustment.
Choose between a style-level and an element-level change
Hostinger’s help article on line spacing describes two routes. Its wording is: “In Hostinger AI Builder manual mode, you can change the line spacing in two ways.” The two routes differ in scope, and the table below sets out the practical difference.

Use this route when a change should apply to all text of one kind.

- In the left panel, expand Website styles.
- Open Fonts, then choose Edit text styles.
- Choose Headings or Paragraphs and navigation.
- Select the style you want to adjust, for example Heading 1 or a paragraph style.
- Change Line height.
Because the change is made at style level, it can affect every text element that uses that style. Check a few of those elements on the page after you save, so you see the effect on real content rather than only the style editor.
Set line height for one text element
Use this route when only one piece of text should change.

- Click the text element you want to adjust.
- Choose Edit text.
- In the text toolbar, open the More options (⋮) menu.
- Change Line height.
Hostinger’s text-style article documents the More options menu as the place for additional text settings. If you later change the style-level setting for the same kind of text, check whether the element you edited locally still looks as you intended, since the two routes operate at different levels.

Many people reach for the keyboard when text looks too tight or too loose, but the keyboard controls do something different. Hostinger documents these two editing shortcuts:

- Enter starts a new paragraph.
- Shift+Enter (Windows) or Command+Enter (macOS) starts a new line within the same paragraph.
Neither shortcut changes the Line height value. To adjust the vertical space between lines, use the style-level or element-level route above.
Check line height in the mobile view
Hostinger’s mobile editing article states that line height can be set differently for desktop and mobile views. A value that reads well on a wide screen can look cramped on a phone, so after you edit, switch to the relevant view and preview the text at the screen size you care about. The same article does not establish that every text-formatting property can be set independently for each view, so verify any other property you change on mobile in the preview rather than assuming it is separate.
Choose a value that suits the design
Hostinger’s help pages do not give a universally correct line-height number, and this article does not offer one. The right value depends on the typeface, the font size, the length of the text block, and the overall design. In practice, make a change, look at the text in context on both desktop and mobile, and adjust until a multi-line paragraph is easy to scan without the lines appearing detached from one another.

The sources used here are Hostinger’s help articles, last reviewed in early October 2026. The interface labels above are correct for that period, but Hostinger can rename menus or move controls, so if a label differs on your screen, look for the same setting in the same panel.
