Hostinger lists exceptions to the general element-hiding instruction: the footer, online-store single-product and product-list sections, blog, and blog-post header. The general eye-icon steps should not be assumed to work for those items. The header has its own hide control, documented in Hostinger’s header settings guide.
Show different content on desktop and mobile
To use different versions of an element or section on desktop and mobile, duplicate it, then set visibility for each version in the corresponding view. In the mobile view, Hostinger’s troubleshooting guide directs users to the layers panel, where the eye icon can hide specific elements on that device type.
-
Duplicate the element or section you want to present differently.

Hide, delete, and remove a page from navigation are different actions
| Action | What it affects | Where to look |
|---|---|---|
| Hide an element or section | Whether selected content is visible in the relevant editor view. | Select it and use the eye icon, where available. |
| Delete an element or section | Removes the content rather than merely changing its visibility. | Use the Delete or trash control. Hostinger describes this separately in its template customization guide. |
| Hide a page from navigation | Whether the page appears in the site’s navigation menu. | In the Pages and navigation panel, open the page settings and choose Hide from navigation, or move it to the hidden-from-navigation area. Update the site for the change to appear online. See Hostinger’s page navigation guide. |
| Change search-engine visibility | Whether a page is configured for search-engine visibility; this is a separate page setting, not the element eye control. | Check the page’s search-engine visibility settings in the Pages and navigation panel. |
If the eye icon is missing or the change does not appear
-
Confirm that you selected the specific element or section, rather than the surrounding page or another item.

Check whether the selected item is one of the exceptions Hostinger lists, or whether the header’s dedicated control applies.
-
If the issue concerns a device-specific layout, switch to that view and check visibility in the layers panel.
-
Update the website, then check the live page. If the control is still absent or behaves differently, consult Hostinger support; the available guides do not guarantee identical controls across every account or builder version.
