To add a footer link in Hostinger AI Builder’s manual mode, create or choose the destination, add a footer to one page or all pages, attach the link to text, a button, an image, or a social icon, then update the website to publish the change.

1. Choose the link destination

Decide what the footer item should open before editing the footer. Hostinger’s manual-mode link options include an existing page, a web address, a file download, a page section, a phone number, an email address, or WhatsApp. The available choices can depend on the element you link. See Hostinger’s manual-mode link instructions.

  • For a page that does not exist yet, create it first.
  • For a contact link, prepare the email address or phone number you want visitors to use.
  • For an external destination, have its web address ready.

2. Optionally keep a new page out of the header menu

If you created a page specifically for footer navigation and do not want it listed in the header menu, hide it from navigation using the page or menu controls described in Hostinger’s navigation menu guide. Hiding a page only removes it from the navigation menu: visitors who have its URL can still open it, and Hostinger says hidden pages can appear in search engines. It is not a privacy or password-protection setting.

3. Add or select the footer

In the editor, open the page where you want to work and insert a Footer section, or select the footer already on that page. Hostinger’s footer management guide describes two scopes:

#1 Best Overall
  • All pages: Use this for a shared site footer. Changes made to that footer on one page also appear on the other pages using it. Hostinger also allows an all-pages footer to be hidden on selected pages.
  • Current page: Use this when the footer should appear only on the selected page. If the section is not already at the bottom, move it there.

4. Add a link to a footer element

Hostinger documents footer links on text, buttons, images, and social icons. Select the element in the footer, then use the appropriate control:

  • Text: Highlight the text and choose the link control.
  • Image: Open the image’s Action tab and select Open link.
  • Button: Edit the button and set its destination.
  • Social icons: Edit the social-icons element and configure the relevant profile links.

Choose the intended destination in the link settings and save or apply the change. The available destination types may vary by element; do not assume every element supports every link type. Hostinger’s footer-link guide covers the footer elements and workflow.

5. Update the website and check the result

Update the website in Hostinger AI Builder to publish the footer changes. Then open the live site and test each link, including on another page if you made a site-wide footer. For a page-specific footer, check the page where you added it.
