The HONOR X9e Pro is worth considering if long battery life and advertised drop and water protection matter more to you than top-tier cameras or gaming performance. Its 11,000mAh typical-capacity battery is the standout, and two independent reviews found it lasted well in their respective tests. But the protection claims have limits, the phone is relatively heavy, and reviewers found camera and performance compromises. Whether it is a good buy also depends on your region, configuration and current price.
What stands out about the HONOR X9e Pro?
HONOR lists a typical battery capacity of 11,000mAh and a rated capacity of 10,510mAh. The phone supports 80W wired SuperCharge and up to 27W wired reverse charging, according to HONOR. These are manufacturer specifications, not a promise of a particular number of days between charges.
The other headline feature is protection. HONOR advertises IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings, SGS five-star drop resistance, and immersion protection of up to 10 metres under specified test conditions. Those are manufacturer claims based on controlled conditions, not a guarantee against damage in everyday use.

Reviewers reported strong endurance, but their observations came from different methods and should not be treated as directly comparable.

Brightness, signal strength, apps, gaming and other settings affect runtime, so your result may differ. The available review results support the X9e Pro as a strong choice for people who want to spend less time near a charger, but they do not establish one universal battery-life figure.
Is it really tough and water-resistant?
The protection ratings are useful signals, but they are not a reason to treat the phone as indestructible. HONOR says the X9e Pro is a precision electronic product that can still be damaged by a fall. It also states that the phone is “not professionally water resistant” and that water protection can decline through daily wear. What are the camera and performance trade-offs?
HONOR specifies a 108MP OIS main camera. That headline resolution does not mean every camera mode produces equally good results: reviewers reported limitations in everyday photography, ultra-wide shots and portraits.

Can Buy or Not also notes that HONOR’s claimed 10,000-nit display peak applies momentarily to a small screen area, not the entire display at once. It is a peak specification, not a representative full-screen brightness level.
How does the X9e Pro compare with alternatives?
The clearest comparison in the available reviews is with HONOR’s earlier X9d. In Can Buy or Not’s PCMark battery test at maximum brightness, the X9e Pro lasted 16 hours and 6 minutes, while the X9d lasted 13 hours and 35 minutes. That is a comparison within one publication’s test conditions; it does not establish that the X9e Pro is faster or better in every respect.

Can Buy or Not also discusses the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max, but the cited material does not provide enough directly comparable results to rank it against the X9e Pro across battery, protection, camera and performance. Techgoondu names the Vivo X300 and Oppo Find X9 as camera-oriented alternatives, but does not provide a full head-to-head test. If camera quality is your priority, compare current local models using independent sample photos and reviews rather than assuming these alternatives will outperform in every situation.

Techgoondu measured its review unit at 203g and 8.08mm thick. The reviewer found the shiny frame attracted fingerprints and could feel slippery, and considered a case worthwhile for grip and protection. A case adds bulk, so consider the trade-off if you want to keep the phone as light and slim as possible.

Who should buy the HONOR X9e Pro?
It makes the most sense for travelers, outdoor users and anyone who regularly spends long days away from a charger, provided they are comfortable with the camera and performance trade-offs. It is a less natural fit if you want consistently strong ultra-wide or portrait photos, smooth gaming, or a lighter phone. A suitably fitted case may help with grip, but check the exact X9e Pro model compatibility before buying one.
