What “8GB + 8GB RAM Turbo” actually means
HONOR describes the memory as an equivalent 16GB experience, but the phone has 8GB of physical RAM. The extra 8GB is an expansion from storage, enabled through HONOR’s RAM Turbo feature, rather than additional installed memory. Expansion helps keep background apps in memory, but it does not add the same speed as physical RAM, and the official pages do not provide a measured comparison. When comparing this phone with another model, read the physical RAM figure first and treat “16GB” as a marketing term.

Display: resolution, refresh rate and brightness
The 720 × 1612 resolution is an HD+ class panel, below Full HD. The 6.56-inch screen is a TFT LCD, not an OLED, so blacks will look greyer than on OLED phones. The 90Hz refresh rate makes scrolling and animations smoother than a standard 60Hz screen, provided the software and app are running at that rate. The 780-nit figure applies to HBM (high brightness mode) and is a peak value under specific conditions; it is not a typical everyday brightness level. HONOR notes that the visible area is slightly smaller than the panel size because of the rounded corners.

Processor and software
The MediaTek Helio G85 is an octa-core chip aimed at budget and entry-level phones. HONOR’s pages do not publish benchmark scores, gaming results or thermal tests, so performance claims cannot be checked against the official material alone. The phone ships with MagicOS 8.0, which HONOR describes as based on Android 14. Confirm the exact build and security patch level in the device settings after purchase, as update timing is set by HONOR and carriers rather than by the specification sheet.
Cameras and video
The main sensor is listed at 50MP, but the pixel count in photos depends on the shooting mode, and most phones output lower-resolution images by default. The 2MP depth camera supports portrait-style background separation, while the auxiliary lens is not described in detail on the official pages. Rear video is listed at 720p and 1080p at 30fps, which means 4K recording is not part of the stated specification. The 5MP front camera has an f/2.2 aperture; front video capabilities are not listed.

Battery capacity and charging
HONOR publishes two battery figures: a typical capacity of 5,200mAh and a nominal capacity of 5,100mAh. The official Latin America page states the wording in Spanish: “La capacidad típica de la batería es de 5,200mAh, y la capacidad nominal de la batería es de 5,100mAh; la potencia máxima de carga con cable soportada es de 35W al usar el cargador y cable originales.” In English, this means the typical capacity is 5,200mAh, the nominal capacity is 5,100mAh, and the maximum wired charging power is 35W when using the original charger and cable. HONOR does not explain in the official material how each figure is measured, so treat the 5,200mAh figure as the marketed value. HONOR also publishes scenario-based endurance claims on its overview, but those depend on test conditions and are not guaranteed results. Charging at 35W requires the original charger and cable; third-party chargers may deliver less.
Dimensions, weight and colours
At 163.59 × 75.33 × 8.39mm and about 192g with the battery, the phone is a standard-size handset with a slightly heavier body than some competitors. The three colours listed on the official specification page are Forest Green, Starry Purple and Ocean Cyan. Colour names and the range actually sold can differ by country, so check the listing for your market before ordering a specific shade.
