The Honor X5d 4G sold in Malaysia is listed with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. HONOR’s global product page advertises a 128GB version, so the storage figure you see depends on the market and the exact model you are looking at. The 6.74-inch 90Hz display, MediaTek Helio G81 processor, 13MP rear camera and 5260mAh typical battery are the core specifications, but several other details come from secondary listings rather than from HONOR itself. This guide separates the two.
Which X5d 4G configuration you are looking at
Two configurations appear in the sources used for this article, and they should not be compared as if they were the same product.
- Malaysia, 4GB RAM / 64GB storage. HONOR’s Malaysia product page lists 64GB of storage with 4GB of physical RAM. A Malaysia retailer lists the X5d 4G as 4GB/64GB.
- Global, 128GB storage. HONOR’s global product page advertises a 128GB configuration. The sources reviewed did not state the RAM figure for that version, so do not assume it matches the Malaysia unit.
Before buying or comparing prices, confirm the storage size on the seller’s listing and the model label on the box.

Display
HONOR’s overview confirms the 6.74-inch TFT LCD and its 90Hz refresh rate. The 720 x 1600 pixel resolution and the roughly 260 ppi pixel density come from independent listings. Because those figures are not on HONOR’s indexed specification page, treat them as secondary until you can check them against the regional product sheet. A 720p-class panel is lower in resolution than many phones at this size, so the 90Hz rate is the main headline feature here, not sharpness.
Processor, memory and RAM Turbo
The processor is a MediaTek Helio G81 octa-core chip. The Malaysia page describes 4GB of physical RAM and a 4GB RAM Turbo expansion, which HONOR presents as “8GB RAM in equivalence.”

RAM Turbo is not additional physical memory. It reserves part of the phone’s storage to act as extra working space when the system needs it, so the phone has 4GB of actual RAM. Whether that extension helps in daily use depends on how the phone manages memory and how fast its storage is. HONOR does not provide a performance benchmark for this feature in the sources used here, so no speed claim is made in this article.
Software
A Malaysia retailer lists the X5d 4G running MagicOS 9.0 based on Android 15. This comes from the retailer, not from HONOR’s specification pages. Software versions can differ between regions and can change through updates, so if the update status matters to you, check the version on the phone itself after purchase.

Cameras
- Rear: 13MP main camera (HONOR). A retailer lists the aperture as f/2.2. No other rear lenses are described in the sources.
- Front: 5MP according to the retailer listing. A secondary specification listing reports 1080p video recording. HONOR has not confirmed that for the regional device, so verify it before relying on it.
Battery and HONOR’s own test claims
HONOR lists a 5260mAh typical capacity and a 5130mAh rated/minimum capacity. A retailer also lists 5130mAh as rated. HONOR’s product page includes three lab-based battery claims and one durability claim. Each depends on conditions HONOR specifies, and none has been independently verified in the sources used here.

HONOR’s product page includes this general caveat: “The data on the above pages are theoretical values, which are obtained from HONOR’s internal labs under specific test environments (please refer to each specific description). Actual use may vary slightly due to individual differences in products, software versions, use conditions and environmental factors.” The figures above are company claims. Real-world battery life will depend on how you use the phone.

Storage expansion and the SIM tray
HONOR states that microSD cards up to 1TB are supported. The card is sold separately and is not included in the box. A secondary listing reports that the phone uses a shared SIM/microSD slot. That would mean you cannot use a microSD card and two SIM cards at the same time. Check the tray design in your market before buying a card, because the sources do not confirm the arrangement for every region.
Price in Malaysia: the snapshots disagree
Two Malaysia price figures are in circulation, and they conflict. A Maybank TreatsPoints listing showed RM499, discounted to RM495, when it was captured. TechNave’s Malaysia page reports MYR369. The gap may reflect timing, promotions or the seller, and the sources do not explain it. Neither figure should be treated as the current official price. Check a live seller listing before deciding.

Checklist before you buy or compare
- Confirm the storage size on the listing (64GB for the Malaysia configuration, 128GB for the global version).
- Check that the listing states 4GB of physical RAM, not just the 8GB equivalent figure.
- Look up the colour available in your market, since not every colour appears on every page.
- Verify the SIM and microSD tray arrangement before buying a card.
- After purchase, check the software version in the phone’s About settings.
- Treat the battery-life and durability numbers as HONOR’s lab claims, not as results you can expect.
The sources do not establish any independent performance ranking for the X5d, so this article makes no claim about how it compares with rival phones.
