The HONOR Magic V6 pairs a 7.95-inch inner display with a slim folded profile, a 6,660mAh battery and IP68/IP69 ratings. Independent reviewers praise its endurance and overall performance, but report heat during extended gaming and occasional software hiccups. It looks like a capable premium book-style foldable; whether it is worth buying depends on local pricing, software needs and how much you will use the larger screen.
What the Magic V6 is—and what stands out
The Magic V6 is an Android phone that opens like a book into a tablet-sized display. HONOR’s June 2026 announcements specify a 7.95-inch inner screen and a 6.52-inch outer screen, both using LTPO 2.0 technology with adaptive refresh rates from 1Hz to 120Hz. HONOR also claims the crease is 44% shallower than on the previous generation; that is a manufacturer comparison, not an independent measurement. HONOR’s MWC announcement gives the display and crease figures.
The unusual proposition is the combination: HONOR specifies a 6,660mAh battery in a body measuring 8.75mm folded and 4.0mm unfolded for the white version, at around 219g. Those dimensions and weight are HONOR launch specifications and may vary by color or regional configuration. HONOR’s June 4, 2026 launch release lists the body measurements and core hardware.
Design, displays, and hinge durability
A large screen in a slim foldable
The outer display is the one to use for quick tasks and ordinary phone use; open the device when a page, document, or app benefits from more room. The 7.95-inch inner panel makes the V6 closer to a small tablet in use than a conventional phone, though the practical benefit depends on whether the apps you rely on make good use of the expanded screen.

- External screen: 6.43 inch, OLED, 2376×1060 Pixels, 1.07 billion colors

HONOR says the hinge has been tested for up to 500,000 folds. That is a manufacturer durability claim about hinge testing, not a promise that every phone will last for that many user folds or remain undamaged. Likewise, the IP68/IP69 water- and dust-resistance ratings are not a guarantee against all liquid, dust, impact, or wear damage. Check the applicable regional warranty terms before purchase; those terms are not established by the cited product announcements. HONOR UAE’s open-sale announcement states the hinge test figure and IP ratings.
Battery life and charging
HONOR lists a 6,660mAh battery, 80W wired charging and 66W wireless charging. It also says the battery material contains 25% silicon. These are manufacturer specifications; they do not establish a guaranteed runtime or charging time for every user, charger, market or software version. HONOR’s MWC announcement gives the battery capacity and material claim, while its UAE release lists charging ratings.

TechRadar reviewer Dashiell Wood reported that his heavily used review unit commonly had around 25% charge left at bedtime. That is a useful real-world impression, not a standardized battery benchmark: screen time, signal strength, apps and workload differ from person to person. The review rated battery life 5/5 and described overall performance as very strong. TechRadar’s long-term review, published July 27, 2026, contains those reviewer-specific findings.

HONOR’s launch announcement identifies the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 platform, LPDDR5X memory, UFS 4.1 storage and MagicOS 10. These are launch specifications, and regional configurations may differ. TechRadar found performance very strong overall, but reported heat during extended gaming, along with occasional freezing and app-resizing problems. Those are the reviewer’s observations from their device, not evidence that every unit will behave the same way.

- Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, Octa-core, Adreno 750
- Android 14 with MagicOS 8.0
For a buyer, the distinction is important: brief everyday use and sustained gaming are different workloads. If long gaming sessions are central to your phone use, the reported heat is a reason to seek more device-specific feedback rather than treating the strong general performance assessment as a guarantee.
Cameras
The rear camera system comprises a 50MP main camera, a 64MP periscope telephoto camera and a 50MP ultra-wide camera, according to HONOR’s launch release. HONOR specifies a 1/2-inch sensor and CIPA 6.5-stop stabilization for the periscope telephoto. These are hardware and stabilization specifications, not independent proof of image quality across lighting conditions. TechRadar rated the camera 4/5 in its review, a subjective assessment by that publication. HONOR’s launch announcement lists the camera hardware; TechRadar’s review provides its evaluation.

Price and availability vary by market
There is no single price that can be applied worldwide. HONOR UAE announced open sale from June 26, 2026 at AED 6,999 through its store and authorized retail partners. HardwareZone reported Singapore launch prices of S$2,599 for 512GB and S$2,899 for 1TB. These are dated, regional figures—not a current global price list—and inventory, offers and configurations can change. Check the seller and local HONOR listing for the price and storage option available to you.

Should you buy the HONOR Magic V6?
The V6 makes the strongest case for someone who wants a large inner screen without giving up a substantial battery specification, fast charging and a slim folded design. Independent review feedback is positive about endurance and general performance, while its reported gaming heat and occasional software issues are meaningful caveats for demanding use. The premium price is another consideration, especially because the cited prices are specific to launch periods and markets.
Before deciding, compare the local V6 offer with other premium book-style foldables using the factors that affect daily ownership: folded size and weight, inner-screen usefulness, crease visibility, battery endurance reports, charging, camera results, sustained-load heat, app behavior, storage and warranty coverage. If you rarely need a foldable’s larger screen, a conventional flagship may be a more rational purchase; TechRadar itself points readers who do not need a foldable toward a conventional HONOR phone. No controlled head-to-head comparison is established by the reviews cited here.
