HOKA’s Ora Primo recovery shoe is now reported in Archival Taupe, a muted, earthy finish that gives the insulated slip-on a more understated look. Gear Patrol lists the colorway at $120, though it does not establish the sales region or guarantee that it remains in stock.
What’s new: Archival Taupe
The new detail is the color, not a confirmed redesign: Gear Patrol reports that the HOKA Ora Primo is available in Archival Taupe for $120. The price and availability are source-reported, and the article does not specify a region or confirm current inventory. Gear Patrol’s report
“Neutral, earthy finish” describes the appeal of the taupe colorway; it is not a technical feature. If you want a low-key alternative to brighter footwear, Archival Taupe is the point of this release.

Why it reads as a camp shoe
Gear Patrol frames the Ora Primo as a post-run recovery shoe, while its insulated puff upper, slip-on format and rugged-looking outsole make it easy to imagine at camp. That is an editorial use case, not a stated HOKA designation or evidence that the shoe has been tested for outdoor conditions. A rugged appearance alone does not establish traction on wet ground, durability on trails, or suitability for hiking.

January 2026 Gear Patrol coverage described the Ora Primo model with an insulated upper, elastic lace system, cushioning and a 6 mm heel-to-toe drop. Those are model-level details from that report, not independently confirmed specifications for Archival Taupe. Gear Patrol’s January 2026 coverage
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. How the colorway fits the Ora Primo’s history
Gear Patrol reported that the Ora Primo debuted in December 2023 in Vanilla, Black and Forest Floor. Its January 2026 coverage also noted a Yellow Gold/Black version listed on HOKA’s Japan website, which it could not find on the U.S. site at that time. That historical, color-specific availability does not establish where Archival Taupe is sold today.

What to check before buying
- Regional stock: Confirm Archival Taupe appears on the retailer’s current product page for your country; the reported $120 price is not a guarantee of today’s price or availability.
- Intended use: Treat it as a recovery shoe unless the seller provides evidence for the outdoor conditions you have in mind. Camp use is a plausible styling choice, not a verified performance claim.
- Fit and feel: Check the retailer’s size and return information. The available coverage does not provide a fit recommendation or establish how the shoe performs on a particular wearer.
