Neither scale is established as more accurate. The available evidence includes no controlled head-to-head test, and both devices use bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA), which produces body-composition estimates rather than clinical measurements. The Herz P1’s published feature list is broader; the Oxiline MD Pro highlights rechargeable power, a handle-mounted display, and data export. Which fits better depends on the features and evidence you value.
What the comparison can—and cannot—tell you
Both manufacturers describe their scales as using BIA, a method that estimates body composition from electrical measurements. Those estimates are not diagnoses, and the available material does not validate either model as a clinical measurement device. There is no independent, controlled test directly comparing the Herz P1 with the Oxiline Scale MD Pro.
Herz says the P1 uses eight electrodes and dual-frequency BIA, and advertises “up to 97% accuracy.” That figure is a manufacturer claim: the product page does not provide a supporting validation protocol or study. Oxiline describes sensors in both the scale base and handle, but that design description does not establish comparative accuracy.

| Feature | Herz P1 | Oxiline Scale MD Pro |
|---|---|---|
| Measurement design | Manufacturer lists eight electrodes and dual-frequency BIA. Herz product page | Manufacturer describes BIA sensors on the base and handle. Oxiline specifications |
| Published metric count | 56 metrics, according to Herz. The page reviewed does not provide a metric-by-metric validation study. Herz product page | 16 readings, according to Oxiline’s specifications. Oxiline specifications |
| Power | Four AAA batteries. Herz setup guide | Rechargeable 500 mAh battery with USB-C charging. Oxiline specifications |
| Display | Large embedded LED display, as described by Herz. Herz product page | 3-inch OLED display on the handle. Oxiline specifications |
| App and data | Herz’s guide says measurements sync after connection with the Unique Health app. Herz setup guide | Oxiline says its app stores measurements, supports PDF and CSV export, and syncs with Apple Health and Android Health Connect. Oxiline product page |
| Published maximum capacity | 400 lb / 180 kg; 0.1 lb increments, according to Herz. Herz product page | 396 lb / 180 kg, according to Oxiline. Oxiline specifications |
| Independent evidence identified | No independent accuracy validation was identified in the sources reviewed. | A Tom’s Guide hands-on review reported inconsistent readings and questioned some app interpretations; it was not a comparison with Herz. Tom’s Guide review, April 13, 2026 |
The metric totals may use different definitions, so a larger count does not by itself show that a scale is more useful or accurate. There was no direct side-by-side usability test establishing which display or app is easier to use. Check that the app currently supports your phone and the health platform you use.

What the accuracy evidence says
Herz’s stated “up to 97% accuracy” lacks a disclosed comparison method or validation data on the product page reviewed. Treat it as a vendor claim, not a result independently confirmed for your body or a guarantee that each metric is correct.
In her April 13, 2026 review, Tom’s Guide’s Erin Bashford described a 2.9 percentage-point overnight change in the Oxiline’s body-fat reading during her testing and questioned some in-app interpretations. That is one reviewer’s observation, not a population statistic or a controlled comparison with the Herz P1. It gives readers a reason to be cautious about interpreting individual readings, but it does not establish how the two scales compare in accuracy.

Which one fits your priorities?
Consider the Herz P1 if
- You prefer the manufacturer’s stated eight-electrode, dual-frequency design.
- You want its stated 56-metric feature set, while recognizing that count is not proof of accuracy or practical value.
- You are comfortable using replaceable AAA batteries and its embedded display.
Consider the Oxiline MD Pro if
- You prefer a rechargeable scale with USB-C charging.
- You want a display mounted on the handle.
- PDF or CSV export and the stated Apple Health or Android Health Connect syncing matter to your tracking workflow.
- You are willing to weigh the independent reviewer’s reported inconsistencies when deciding whether to rely on its estimates.
For either device, compare the current price, return policy, and warranty before buying; those purchase terms are not established here. No evidence in this comparison supports treating either scale’s body-fat or other BIA outputs as a diagnosis.

Herz P1 setup and safety
Herz’s guide recommends placing the P1 on a hard, flat surface, waiting for the display to show 0.0, and stepping on barefoot with clean, dry feet. It advises against measuring immediately after exercise, bathing or sauna, eating or drinking, or when sick or dehydrated. The same guide says not to use the scale with a pacemaker or similar medical implant and says use is not recommended during pregnancy. Follow the manufacturer’s guidance and seek medical advice for personal safety questions. Herz P1 setup and safety guide, updated March 29, 2026.
