Hero V09 is a free introduction section aimed at freelance designers’ portfolios. Colorlib describes it as plain HTML and CSS that can be used on its own or added to Bootstrap 4, 5, or 6 projects; it says the template does not require Bootstrap files or JavaScript. The design combines a portrait, availability badge, short introduction, contact and CV links, social icons, and quick facts. Colorlib’s Hero V09 listing identifies a September 2026 release and a CC BY 3.0 license.
What does Hero V09 include?
Colorlib presents Hero V09 as a personal introduction for a freelance designer, rather than a generic product or SaaS landing page. Its portrait-led layout pairs a visual profile with ways for visitors to make contact or learn more about the designer.
- An arched portrait and a rotating sticker.
- A pulsing “Available for work” badge.
- A greeting, emphasized headline, and short biography.
- An email button and CV download link.
- Four icon links and a set of quick facts.
Colorlib says the portrait moves above the text on phones and that the availability dot stops pulsing when a visitor’s system requests reduced motion. Those are publisher-described behaviors, not independently verified here. The listing also reports a 468 KB download; this is Colorlib’s stated file size, not a separately measured figure.
Does Hero V09 need Bootstrap?
No, according to Colorlib. The download is described as plain HTML and CSS, with no JavaScript, Bootstrap files, or plugins required. Colorlib also says it can be used inside Bootstrap 4, 5, or 6 projects. In other words, Bootstrap compatibility is an option, not a prerequisite. Check the downloaded files and their instructions for the exact markup and styles included.

How it fits alongside other Bootstrap hero layouts
Hero V09 makes sense when the main purpose of the page is to introduce a person and direct visitors to that person’s work or contact details. Other hero patterns prioritize different things: Bootstrap’s versioned 5.1.0 examples include centered copy and buttons, a screenshot, a text-and-image split, a signup form, a cropped image, and a dark background. A third-party BootstrapPlanet guide, updated June 10, 2026, describes centered, gradient, split, background-image, and minimal patterns using Bootstrap 5.3.3 examples. These are examples from their respective sources, not a guarantee of behavior in every Bootstrap release. Bootstrap 5.1.0 examples · BootstrapPlanet’s hero-section guide
Bootstrap 5 no longer includes the jumbotron component, according to Colorlib’s September 28, 2026 roundup; modern hero sections can instead use ordinary markup and utility classes. That roundup describes its 2026 downloads as plain HTML and CSS, with vanilla JavaScript only where a template needs it. Colorlib’s 2026 hero-section roundup

What license applies to Hero V09?
The Hero V09 listing identifies the template as CC BY 3.0. Colorlib’s 2026 roundup says its hero downloads may be used in personal and commercial projects under that license when the credit link is retained. Before publishing a modified or embedded version, read the license text included with the actual download and preserve the required credit. Do not assume those terms cover third-party examples linked from a roundup.

Choose it if the page needs to introduce an individual designer, surface availability, and make email, CV, social, and profile details easy to find in one section. If the primary purpose is a signup form, a product screenshot, or a broad brand message, a form-focused, product-led, or more general hero arrangement may fit better. The template’s defining choice is a personal portrait and profile, not a universal landing-page layout.
