Hero V04 is a mobile-app landing-page hero, not a complete app or website. Its layout pairs a short pitch and generic app-store buttons with quick facts and CSS phone mockups; you still need to add your own app destinations and adapt the content. Colorlib describes the download as 376 KB and says it can be used on its own or in Bootstrap projects. Colorlib’s 2026 hero-section roundup describes its features, compatibility and license.
What Hero V04 includes
Colorlib positions Hero V04 for app launches and app marketing pages. Its main elements are:
- A rating line above a two-tone headline.
- Short supporting copy and two generic app-store buttons.
- Three quick facts and two phone mockups created with HTML and CSS.
The mockups are visual previews, not screenshots of your app. Replace or adapt their contents if they do not represent the real product, and connect each store button to the correct app listing. The template description does not say that the buttons already lead to official listings. Colorlib’s Hero V04 entry
How the layout behaves on mobile
Colorlib describes the layout as centered on phones, with full-width store buttons and one phone mockup remaining visible. That makes the design a plausible fit when the mobile page should prioritize a concise pitch, a download action and a product preview.

This is the publisher’s description of the intended behavior, not an independent device or accessibility test. Check the adapted page at the screen sizes and with the assistive technologies your audience uses. Ensure text remains legible against any imagery, and avoid treating a desktop layout that merely shrinks as a mobile-ready design. Colorlib’s roundup
Does Hero V04 require Bootstrap?
Colorlib describes Hero V04 as plain HTML and CSS with a few lines of vanilla JavaScript, and says it can be used standalone or in Bootstrap 4, 5 or 6 projects. Its collection FAQ says the hero designs do not require Bootstrap or jQuery. These are publisher-stated implementation details rather than results of independent testing. Colorlib’s roundup
Bootstrap 5 removed the old .jumbotron component. If you want that broad introductory-page role in a Bootstrap 5 project, use a hero section or compose the block with utility classes instead. Hero V04 is not described as depending on the jumbotron component. Colorlib’s Bootstrap jumbotron guidance

License and attribution
Colorlib says its 2026 hero downloads may be used in personal and commercial projects under CC BY 3.0 when the credit link is retained. Check the license attached to the specific download before removing attribution or relying on different terms. Colorlib also distinguishes third-party CodePen examples in its roundup, which have their own licenses; do not assume their terms are the same as Hero V04’s. Colorlib’s license statement
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. When Hero V04 is a good fit
Choose it when you need an app-focused opening section with a clear download action and a visual preview, and its centered mobile treatment suits your page. It is less suitable as-is if you need a complete app, a full website, authentic product screenshots, or store buttons already wired to your listings.
Before publishing an adapted hero, verify the content, destinations and presentation:
Quick Recap
- Replace the sample pitch, rating and quick facts with accurate information about your app.
- Link each store button to the correct app listing, or change the action if the app is not available in that store.
- Check contrast and text readability, especially if you add a photo background.
- Test the final page on mobile rather than assuming the described responsive behavior covers every device.
- If you add a video background, consider its download weight and respect visitors who prefer reduced motion. These are general hero-design considerations, not features documented specifically for Hero V04. Colorlib’s design guidance
