Hellraiser: Revival is officially out now, October 8, 2026, and is available before Halloween on its listed digital platforms. The exception is the Nintendo Switch 2 physical retail edition, which is scheduled for October 30. The game also carries explicit warnings for graphic violence, gore, nudity, strong sexual content, and other mature material.
Is Hellraiser: Revival available before Halloween 2026?
Yes. Saber Interactive labels Hellraiser: Revival “OUT NOW,” and its official FAQ gives October 8, 2026 as the release date for PC and consoles. Halloween is October 31, so the game is available ahead of the holiday on its listed digital platforms: PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and Steam.

There is one format-specific date to note: Saber lists October 30, 2026 for the Nintendo Switch 2 physical retail version. That is a later date for that retail format, not a delay of the game’s overall launch.

Saber describes Hellraiser: Revival as a single-player, first-person action horror survival game. You play as Aidan, who uses the Genesis Configuration—a puzzle box with supernatural abilities—and weapons while trying to help his girlfriend, Sunny, escape the Labyrinth. The story involves a bargain with Pinhead, and enemies include cultists devoted to the Cenobites.

The PlayStation Blog interview with game director Emil Esov describes dual-wielding weapons and combining them with the box’s powers. It also mentions escape tactics such as switching off the flashlight or making a quick turn and running. These are developer descriptions, not independent findings about how the finished game performs or feels.
How graphic and disturbing is it?
The official content warnings point to a game intended for adults, not a mild or merely atmospheric horror experience. The PlayStation Store listing warns of blood and gore, intense violence, nudity, strong language, strong sexual content, and drug use.
Steam’s developer-provided content description adds detail: torture, consensual mutilation, drug and alcohol abuse, tobacco use, and non-explicit consensual sex. It also identifies narrative themes of suicide, domestic abuse, BDSM practices, and addiction. These descriptors are useful if you are deciding whether the material is suitable for you or someone else; they do not quantify how often each element appears.

For streamers and video creators
Saber Support advises creators to apply an 18+ age restriction and use a sexual-themes label where the platform offers one. Saber also says there is no streamer mode that changes or removes the game’s content. Its content creator policy provides the relevant guidance.
Platforms, physical formats, and editions
Saber lists the game for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and Steam. Its FAQ distinguishes the physical formats: PS5 and Xbox Series X|S receive physical discs, while Switch 2 editions use game key cards. A Switch 2 key card is a physical retail format, but it is not a traditional cartridge containing the full game.
The PlayStation Store lists Standard and Deluxe editions. At the time of the Steam listing, the Standard edition was $39.99 and the Deluxe edition was $49.99. Steam’s Deluxe extras include the “The Nailer” melee weapon, weapon skins, a charm, digital art book, soundtrack, novella, and an ’80s horror movie filter. Those are Steam prices, not a cross-platform price comparison; prices and availability can change by region and over time.

Saber Support also refers to a Collector’s Edition and says Boss Team Games handles its sale and fulfillment, but the support information does not specify its contents or availability. Check the relevant platform or seller listing for current edition details.

Playtime, internet, and post-launch plans
Saber estimates a playthrough at around 8–12 hours, depending on play style. That is the developer’s estimate, not an independently measured completion time. Saber also says an internet connection is not required and confirms that a Steam demo is available.
In its FAQ, Saber says it expects to release patches for issues discovered after launch but has no plans for future DLC or content updates. Those are the publisher’s stated plans at the time of its FAQ; plans can change.
Is this a direct continuation of the films?
No. In an Xbox Wire interview, the developers describe the game as a new story in the Hellraiser universe, inspired by the first two films but not directly connected to their plots. The interview also says Clive Barker was involved from the beginning, contributing to visual style, story motifs, lore, and character personalities; it does not establish that he personally wrote every part of the game.
