Hell Is Us has welcomed over 2 million players, and its 1.8 update adds 10 new Hollow Walkers. The official Steam announcement also lists fixes for a save-system memory corruption issue and map collisions that could leave players stuck. The milestone is a player count—not a reported sales figure—and the announcement does not explain how or when it was measured.

Update 1.8 introduces 10 new Hollow Walkers. The official announcement describes the additions as a group but does not name or detail each enemy individually, so there is no confirmed list of their names or designs in the patch notice.

The announcement says: “We heard your feedback on enemy variety, and these new additions bring more diversity to the foes you’ll encounter.” It frames the additions as a response to player feedback on enemy variety.
What else is in the Hell Is Us 1.8 update?
Alongside the new enemies, the official notes list two kinds of fixes:

For PC players, the Steam announcement identifies the update as build 1.8.125.51687. That identifier applies to the Steam build; it does not establish matching version numbers on consoles.
What does the 2 million player milestone mean?
The official announcement says Hell Is Us has welcomed “over 2 million players.” It does not call that figure copies sold or units shipped, and it does not state the counting method or the exact date on which the total was measured.

Which platforms received the update?
The official notice cited here confirms the update details for Steam, but the available platform reporting does not establish a complete, platform-by-platform rollout schedule. Push Square identifies PS5 and describes the update as available across platforms, while GamingBolt names Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC and reports a later Nintendo Switch 2 launch. Those reports do not support treating an October 8 Switch 2 release as confirmed. Check the relevant platform’s own update listing for its current availability and version.
