The Helio G81 and Helio G91 are closely related 4G phone platforms, but the G91 has the higher listed maximum GPU clock and explicitly advertises 90 Hz display and 108 MP camera support. Neither chipset is a universal benchmark winner: third-party results change with the benchmark version, and they are aggregates from different phones rather than a controlled head-to-head test.
Helio G81 vs G91 specifications
MediaTek’s official specification pages show a largely similar foundation: both chips support 64-bit processing, use eight-core CPUs with Cortex-A75 and Cortex-A55 cores, pair those CPUs with Mali-G52 MC2 graphics, and list LPDDR4x memory up to 8 GB and eMMC 5.1 storage. The differences are in specific listed capabilities and in how MediaTek presents some of the specifications.
| Specification | Helio G81 | Helio G91 | What it means |
|---|---|---|---|
| CPU | Octa-core; Cortex-A75 up to 2 GHz and Cortex-A55 listed at 1.7 GHz | Octa-core; Cortex-A75 and Cortex-A55; maximum CPU frequency 2 GHz | Both use the same core families, but MediaTek presents their clock details differently, so the pages do not establish identical CPU configurations. |
| GPU | Arm Mali-G52 MC2, up to 820 MHz | Arm Mali-G52 MC2, up to 1 GHz | The G91 has the higher published maximum GPU clock. It does not guarantee a particular gaming advantage in every phone. |
| Memory | LPDDR4x, up to 8 GB, maximum frequency 1800 MHz | LPDDR4X, up to 8 GB, maximum frequency 1800 MHz | The listed memory ceiling and frequency are similar. |
| Storage | eMMC 5.1 | eMMC 5.1 | No difference is listed in these specification tables. |
| Display | Maximum resolution 2520 × 1080 | Maximum resolution 2520 × 1080; maximum refresh rate 90 Hz | The G91 page explicitly lists 90 Hz support. A phone maker chooses the actual panel and its refresh rate. |
| Camera | ISP configurations: 16 MP + 16 MP or 48 MP | Specification table: 16 MP + 16 MP or 64 MP; feature highlights advertise 108 MP capability | MediaTek’s G91 page gives different camera figures in its feature highlights and specification table. Neither figure guarantees the sensor or camera implementation in a particular phone. |
| Cellular | LTE Cat-4 downlink | LTE Cat-7 downlink / Cat-13 uplink | The G91 lists higher LTE category support; handset bands and carrier compatibility still depend on the device and network. |
| Wireless | Wi-Fi 5; Bluetooth 5.0 | Wi-Fi 5; Bluetooth 5.0 | The listed wireless versions are the same. |

Which chipset performs better in benchmarks?
There is no single consistent winner in NanoReview’s reported aggregates. On the comparison page accessed in 2026, the AnTuTu 11 aggregate slightly favors the G81, while its separately indexed AnTuTu 10 comparison favors the G91. Geekbench 6 results are close, with the G81 narrowly ahead in the reported comparison.
#1 Best Overall
- 【Strong Adsorption】The inspiration of the silicone phone suction case comes from the adhesive force of the octopus. Each suction cup phone mount is 3.15 inches long and 2.17 inches wide, with 24 independent suction cups providing a stronger and more stable suction force, so you don't have to worry about your phone falling during use.
- 【Back of Phone Suction Grip】Remove the adhesive film on the phone suction cup and stick it on the phone case. You can then fix the phone on any smooth surface, which is very convenient. (The phone suction cup cannot be removed and reused after being attached to the phone case. It is recommended to attach it to a regular phone case, not a valuable one.)
- 【Widely Used】Our non-slip silicone phone sticky grip mount attaches to almost any flat phone case and make it compatible with common mobile phones such as iPhone and Android. You can shoot, watch videos or video calls in the kitchen, gym, dance studio, bathroom and other places.
- 【Capture the Wonderful Picture】Whether you are a TikTok creator or just like to share videos and photos, this phone suction cup can help you hands-free capture wonderful videos and photos for sharing with friends.
- 【Note】You can fix the phone suction cup on a smooth surface such as a mirror or glass. If necessary, wipe the suction cup with a damp cloth to obtain stronger suction. Before releasing your hand, make sure the phone is firmly fixed. (Not applicable to rough walls, wooden surfaces, and other uneven surfaces)
| Benchmark and version | Helio G91 | Helio G81 | Context |
|---|---|---|---|
| AnTuTu 11 | 354,158 | 358,608 | NanoReview reports 15 G91 tests and 43 G81 tests on its comparison page. |
| AnTuTu 10 | 276,628 | 258,706 | Figures from NanoReview’s separately indexed comparison; the ordering differs from its AnTuTu 11 figures. |
| Geekbench 6 single-core | 405 | 432 | Reported comparison aggregate. |
| Geekbench 6 multi-core | 1,407 | 1,416 | Reported comparison aggregate. |
| Geekbench 6 multi-core, separately indexed comparison | 1,389 | 1,391 | A different NanoReview comparison page reports these figures. |
These are third-party aggregates, not results from testing both chips in the same phone under matched software and thermal conditions. The comparison page lists three tested G91 phone models and twelve G81 models. MediaTek’s specification pages do not publish benchmark scores, and the available figures do not establish an exact real-world performance advantage. What the specification differences mean in a phone
Gaming and graphics
The G91’s listed maximum GPU frequency is higher, but that is a platform specification—not a promise of smoother gameplay in every handset. Cooling, memory configuration, software, and sustained power limits can affect how a phone performs during longer gaming sessions. The cited comparison does not measure those factors in matched devices.
Rank #2
- SUPERIOR COMFORT — Unlike traditional circular ear buds, the design of EarPods is defined by the geometry of the ear. Which makes them more comfortable for more people than any other ear bud–style headphones.
- HIGH-QUALITY AUDIO — The speakers inside EarPods have been engineered to maximize sound output and minimize sound loss, which means you get high-quality audio.
- BUILT-IN REMOTE — EarPods with USB-C plug also include a built-in remote that lets you adjust the volume, control the playback of music and video, and answer or end calls with a pinch of the cord.
- COMPATIBILITY — Works with all devices that have a USB-C port.
- INTEGRATED MICROPHONE — A built-in microphone precisely captures your voice while you’re on the phone, taking a FaceTime call, or summoning Siri — so you’re always heard loud and clear.
Screen refresh rate
MediaTek lists support for up to 90 Hz on the G91. This describes a platform capability; a manufacturer may use a lower-refresh-rate panel, and panel quality and resolution are separate considerations. The G81 page lists a maximum resolution of 2520 × 1080 but does not list a maximum refresh rate in the cited specifications.
Camera resolution
The G91 page highlights 108 MP camera capability, while its specification table lists 16 MP + 16 MP or 64 MP configurations. Treat 108 MP as a platform feature claim, not a guarantee that every G91 phone has a 108 MP sensor. The G81 page lists 16 MP + 16 MP or 48 MP ISP configurations. Actual photos depend on the phone’s sensor, image processing, and camera implementation.

Mobile-network support
The listed LTE category is higher for the G91, but that alone does not confirm that a specific phone will work on a particular network. Check the exact handset variant’s supported LTE bands and the bands used by your carrier in your region.

- The exact model and regional variant, including its chipset and supported LTE bands.
- The actual screen refresh rate, resolution, and panel quality.
- The camera sensor and software implementation rather than the chipset’s maximum camera capability.
- RAM, storage capacity, and the storage type.
- Battery capacity, cooling, and how the phone handles sustained workloads.
- Software support and the price of the specific phone.
For example, NanoReview lists the Tecno Spark 40, Motorola Moto G05, and Xiaomi Redmi 14C among phones using the G81. Treat such lists as starting points for checking device specifications, not confirmation of the chipset in every regional model or of current availability. Verdict: G81 or G91?
On paper, the G91 has the edge in maximum GPU clock and explicitly listed 90 Hz display support, plus higher stated LTE category support. The G81 is not clearly slower across all benchmarks: NanoReview’s AnTuTu ordering changes between versions, and its Geekbench 6 results are close. If choosing a phone, prioritize the actual display, camera, network compatibility, memory, thermals, software support, and price over a small difference in aggregate scores.
