Colorado State quarterback Hauss Hejny was reported downgraded from questionable to doubtful for the Rams’ October 3, 2026 game against Oregon State. RotoWire attributed the October 1 update to the Pac-12 availability report. It followed a hamstring injury Hejny sustained against BYU on September 19. The available pregame reports do not confirm whether he ultimately played or give a return timeline.
What is Hauss Hejny’s status against Oregon State?
RotoWire reported on October 1 that Hejny had been downgraded to doubtful for Colorado State’s scheduled game against Oregon State on October 3. RotoWire said the designation came from the Pac-12 availability report; the underlying report is not available here for independent verification. “Doubtful” was a pregame designation, not confirmation of the final lineup.
The Pac-12 says its availability reports are published in coordination with member institutions and have set reporting times before game day. Read the conference’s availability-reporting information.

What Mora’s progress comment means
In the Coloradoan’s October 1 report, Mora said of Hejny, “He has made progress because he’s doing everything humanly possible.” The comment describes effort and progress, but it does not say Hejny was cleared or would play. The same report said the decision had been made by the morning of Colorado State’s UTSA game that Hejny would not play.
