No. Khabib Nurmagomedov retired with a 29-0 record in professional mixed martial arts (MMA), according to the UFC. His final fight was a submission victory over Justin Gaethje at UFC 254 in October 2020.
What does Khabib’s 29-0 record mean?
The UFC athlete profile lists Nurmagomedov’s professional MMA record as 29 wins, no losses and no draws (29-0-0). That figure answers the question for professional MMA; it does not establish his results in amateur bouts or competitions under other rules.
The UFC profile also credits him with eight knockout wins and 11 submission wins. Those are finish categories within his 29 professional victories, not additional wins.

Nurmagomedov’s final listed bout was against Justin Gaethje at UFC 254 on October 24, 2020. He won by triangle-choke submission at 1:34 of the second round, defending his UFC lightweight title in the process. The UFC event record lists the result and finish in its athlete profile.

The UFC later reported that Dana White confirmed Nurmagomedov’s official retirement on March 18, 2021, describing him as retiring at 29-0. The win over Gaethje was therefore his last professional MMA bout, not a later loss that changed the record.

The widely cited 29-0 figure is his UFC-listed professional MMA record. It should not be expanded into a claim that he never lost an amateur bout or any contest under another ruleset: the UFC profile does not provide a complete record across those categories.
