Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini is scheduled to visit Singapore from October 4 to 6, 2026, for an investment and cooperation outreach. The state says the programme will focus on attracting investment and exploring partnerships in areas including semiconductors, advanced manufacturing, logistics, food processing, aviation, and skills development; the announcement does not report any signed deals.
What Haryana wants to achieve
The Government of Haryana announced the visit on October 2 as an effort to explore and give concrete shape to opportunities for investment, industrial cooperation, technology partnerships, and skills development with Singapore. A Hindustan Times report published October 3 also reported the October 4–6 dates and broad purpose.
The state plans to present Haryana’s industrial policies, infrastructure, connectivity, workforce, and industrial corridors to prospective investors. The programme is expected to include round-table conferences with industry groups, investors, corporate representatives, and sector specialists, as well as one-to-one investor meetings. These are planned discussions, not evidence that projects or commitments have been secured.
Which sectors are on the agenda?
The state’s announcement names seven areas. It particularly highlights semiconductors and advanced manufacturing, but does not publish investment targets or rank the remaining sectors.
#1 Best Overall
| Area | Cooperation or investment described by Haryana |
|---|---|
| Semiconductors and advanced manufacturing | Technology partnerships and potential high-technology or manufacturing facilities; the state identifies these as a particular focus. |
| Logistics and aviation | Potential warehousing and logistics facilities, multimodal connectivity, industrial transport, and cooperation in aviation technology and management. |
| Agro and food processing | Modern food processing, cold-chain infrastructure, value addition, export-oriented production, and improved access to international markets for agricultural products. |
| Global Capability Centres (GCCs) | GCCs are among the sectors being pitched; the announcement does not identify companies or set out specific projects. |
| Education and skills | Potential work with educational institutions, industries, and training agencies to build young people’s technical and industrial skills. |
Haryana says it will invite Singapore companies to consider manufacturing facilities, research and development centres, logistics and warehousing, food processing, and high-technology industries in the state. These are proposed opportunities, not confirmed investments.
Who is expected to take part?
The delegation is described as including senior officials from the Chief Minister’s Office and the Industries and Commerce Department. On October 6, Saini is scheduled to meet Sikh businesspeople and non-resident Indian entrepreneurs in Singapore to discuss investment, setting up industries, and participation in Haryana’s socioeconomic development.

The chief minister is also expected to invite investors and industry representatives to Happening Haryana, which the state describes as proposed for the following year. The announcement and the contemporaneous report do not provide a confirmed event date.

What is not yet known
As of October 3, the visit had not begun, so its outcomes were not established. The announcement names no Singaporean companies or individual attendees, gives no specific investment amount or target, and reports no signed agreement. It also provides no full day-by-day itinerary beyond the planned October 6 meeting with Sikh businesspeople and NRI entrepreneurs. Any claims about deals or commitments would require information released after the visit.
The Government of Haryana announcement is the source for the programme and stated sector opportunities.
