The Haier HWO60S8EPB2 is a 60 cm multifunction built-in oven with eight listed cooking functions, 62 L of usable capacity and pyrolytic self-cleaning. It may suit a replacement or renovation if its cabinet cut-out fits and you want those features, but treat availability as uncertain: CHOICE labels it a discontinued model. Is the Haier HWO60S8EPB2 a good oven?

Dimensions and cabinet fit
Haier lists the oven’s external dimensions as 595 mm high × 595 mm wide × 568 mm deep. CHOICE lists a cabinet cut-out of 590 × 560 × 560 mm and internal baking dimensions of 300 × 480 × 420 mm. These figures describe different things: the appliance’s outside measurements, the opening in the cabinetry and the internal baking space. Do not assume the external dimensions alone confirm a fit.

Before ordering or altering cabinetry, compare the exact opening and clearances with the official installation guide and have a qualified installer verify the site. Haier says proper installation and earthing should be carried out by a qualified technician. The model includes pyrolytic self-cleaning, with Eco and Super modes listed in Haier’s quick reference guide. The user guide’s preparation instructions are important: remove shelves and cookware before running self-clean, and wipe away large food spills or grease. Follow the full guide for operating the cycle rather than relying on a generic pyrolytic-oven procedure.

During ordinary cooking, Haier warns not to put aluminium foil, dishes, trays, water or ice on the oven floor. The guide says these can irreversibly damage the enamel, and that foil lining may cause a fire. Use the supplied shelves and accessories as directed, not the cavity floor as a cooking surface.
Is the HWO60S8EPB2 still available?
CHOICE’s page labels the HWO60S8EPB2 a “Discontinued model.” That indicates the model is no longer treated as a current product on that listing; it does not establish whether a particular retailer still has old stock, whether a used unit is available, or what a seller might charge. Who should consider this oven?
It is worth considering if you have confirmed the cabinet dimensions, want its specific cooking modes and pyrolytic cleaning, and can verify a dependable source and support for the unit. It is a weaker choice if you need a readily available current model, require publicly accessible independent test results before buying, or cannot confirm installation compatibility.
