The October 5, 2026 report says the Miami Heat will stage a Vice City-themed game against the Milwaukee Bucks on November 18, the day before Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled to launch. It also says Take-Two Interactive entered a new Xbox licensing agreement effective September 17. Those arena and contract details are reported claims, not details confirmed by the official Rockstar announcements available here. Rockstar confirms the game’s November 19, 2026 release date and lists PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
What the report says about the Miami Heat promotion
An October 5, 2026 article on ad-hoc-news.de, credited to boerse-global.de, reports that Rockstar Games and the Miami Heat announced an event called “A Night in Vice City.” According to that account, the Heat would host the Milwaukee Bucks on November 18, 2026, with a Vice City-themed court and matching uniforms.
The timing would place the reported event one day before Rockstar’s announced GTA VI release. However, the official Rockstar product announcements available for this article do not confirm the event, and no primary announcement from the Miami Heat or NBA is available here. Treat the date, theme, uniforms and any implication of a formal Rockstar partnership as details attributed to the October 5 report, not independently confirmed event information.

The same article says Take-Two signed a new licensing agreement with Microsoft effective September 17, 2026, replacing earlier Xbox publishing arrangements. It describes the agreement as covering development, publishing, manufacture, marketing, distribution across Xbox devices, digital wholesale pricing, revenue sharing and royalties on physical media.

No primary agreement or official Take-Two disclosure confirming those terms is available here. The reported list should therefore not be read as a verified description of the contract, nor does the available information establish precisely which earlier arrangement it replaced. Without an authoritative disclosure, the practical effect on Xbox players, game pricing or physical releases cannot be determined.

Rockstar Games’ November 6, 2025 announcement set the release date as Thursday, November 19, 2026. Rockstar said the additional time would allow the studio to finish the game to its expected standard. Its later preorder announcement, dated June 24, 2026, lists PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S and describes the game as a single-player experience.
Rockstar says the physical version comes in a box containing a download code. That announcement does not describe a game disc in the box, so “physical version” should not be taken to mean that a disc is included.
