Google’s U.S. Store lists its Certified Refurbished Pixel 9 starting at $499, compared with Google’s stated $799 original retail price for a new Pixel 9—a listed saving of $300. The advertised six-month Google One AI Plus trial with 2TB of storage is not included with the base Pixel 9; Google lists it for eligible refurbished Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 8 Pro models. Prices, stock and promotion terms can change, so check the product listing before buying.
What does the $499 refurbished Pixel 9 price include?
The $499 figure is the starting price Google currently lists on its U.S. Certified Refurbished page for the base Pixel 9. Google compares it with the phone’s original $799 retail price and describes the difference as a $300 saving. That comparison is against the original retail price, not a verified current price across other retailers.

Does the base Pixel 9 come with the six-month AI Plus trial?
No. Google’s listing advertises a six-month Google One AI Plus trial with 2TB of storage for eligible refurbished Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 8 Pro purchases, not the base Pixel 9. Google describes the trial as available to new subscribers, subject to terms, void if the phone is returned, and ending April 4, 2027. What does Google Certified Refurbished mean?
Google says its Certified Refurbished phones undergo multi-point quality testing and receive genuine Google Pixel parts if replacement parts are needed. The company says the phones are unlocked, compatible with any carrier and updated with the latest applicable Google software. Its FAQ also describes battery testing and replacement, and screen replacement with genuine parts when needed.
Google Support adds an important condition detail: refurbished products may have been previously owned or spent longer than usual in a warehouse. They are described as being in full working condition, but may show minor cosmetic imperfections. When needed, Google says products are inspected, tested and wiped of data.
