Phone files and notifications
Direct access to phone files was one of the reviewer’s strongest experiences. Notifications also connect the two devices, but the handoff is not always seamless: a notification could open a cast version of an app rather than the desktop version already in use. The review also notes that the laptop may show separate phone and desktop entries for the same app, and that both versions can run at once.
Casting and Continue On

Continue On worked most reliably with Google Docs and Sheets among the apps tried. The reviewer could not get Maps or Calendar to sync through it. That is a limited set of observations, not a definitive list of supported apps.

Are Googlebook apps ready for laptop use?

In the reviewer’s use, Apple Music did not respond to right-clicks, and Firefox lacked some tab keyboard shortcuts. These are examples from one early review, not the results of a systematic survey of apps. Built-in keyboard remapping did not work in the reviewer’s tests

What is the Glowbar for?
