To get the Golden Order Flail, trigger and defeat Broken Gold Mask at the statue of Radagon in Leyndell, Royal Capital. You must first obtain and cast Law of Regression there, and complete the encounter before Leyndell becomes Ashen Capital.
Where to find the Golden Order Flail
The flail is awarded for defeating Broken Gold Mask during the Leyndell portion of Brother Corhyn’s quest. The encounter takes place at the statue of Radagon, reached from the Erdtree Sanctuary Site of Grace. This location and reward are described in PC Gamer’s Golden Order Flail guide.
What you need before going to the statue
- Progress Brother Corhyn’s quest to the point where it leads you to the statue of Radagon in Leyndell.
- Obtain the Golden Order Principia. It is on the upper level of the arena where you fight the golden shade of Godfrey.
- Give the Principia to Miriel or Corhyn to learn Law of Regression.
- Be able to cast Law of Regression. The spell has an Intelligence requirement, so check your attributes before making the trip.
The location guide identifies the Principia and spell as prerequisites for the encounter. For the item’s availability, also check the edition distinction below.
How to trigger the invasion and claim the flail
- Travel to the Erdtree Sanctuary Site of Grace in Leyndell.
- Leave through the door and descend the stairs.
- Take the lift down, then continue down the next staircase to reach the statue of Radagon.
- Cast Law of Regression at the statue. The revelation triggers Broken Gold Mask’s invasion.
- Defeat Broken Gold Mask. The Golden Order Flail and associated Broken Gold Mask items are awarded for the encounter.
Complete this before Leyndell becomes Ashen Capital
The invasion will not trigger after Leyndell changes to Ashen Capital. If the capital has already changed, this route is no longer available in that world state, so complete the statue encounter beforehand. The timing warning is included in PC Gamer’s location guide.

Check whether your edition includes the flail
The location guide identifies the Golden Order Flail as Tarnished Edition content. Bandai Namco’s official ELDEN RING site lists the Tarnished Pack separately as downloadable content alongside the game editions. Check your edition and add-on access rather than assuming that owning a physical copy of the base game includes the flail.

If the encounter does not start
- Confirm you are at the statue of Radagon, not another statue or the Godfrey arena.
- Make sure you cast Law of Regression at the statue; simply reaching it does not trigger the invasion.
- Check that you have advanced Brother Corhyn’s quest to its Leyndell portion.
- If Leyndell is already Ashen Capital, the invasion will not occur through this route.
