In the latest located Gods & Demons tier-list snapshot, Orpheus, Ostara, and Grox are all S+ picks—and they make a practical starting core: Orpheus supplies area damage, Ostara heals and boosts allies, and Grox protects the team while disrupting enemies. Build the remaining slots around your available heroes, the encounter, and the roles or effects your core still needs; no source establishes one best lineup for every mode.
How current is this Gods & Demons tier list?
Pocket Gamer’s list is labeled version 3.0.10 and was updated October 5, 2026. Its author says the list will no longer be updated, so treat it as the latest located snapshot—not a live ranking or a guarantee of current performance. Store availability is unclear: Pocket Gamer says the game was removed from the App Store and Play Store, while the Google Play listing was accessible and shows an update date of May 13, 2026. Check your regional store rather than assuming the game is available—or unavailable—everywhere. The listing describes it as an idle strategy RPG with varied stages, guild battles, and Global Arena, and says players can “Mix and match your lineup freely to tackle all kinds of challenges!” Gods and Demons – Idle RPG on Google Play.

Pocket Gamer places its B- and C-tier heroes lower in its own evaluation. That placement should not be read as proof that those heroes cannot work in a particular roster or encounter.
How to build around the strongest heroes
Start by identifying what a hero contributes, then fill gaps rather than selecting a team only by tier. The source describes flexible lineups and tactics that respond to enemy weaknesses, but it does not establish a mathematically best fixed team.

Use Orpheus as the damage carry
Pocket Gamer describes Orpheus as an area-of-effect damage dealer whose relevant skill becomes more powerful at health thresholds of 50%, then 60%, then 70% as the skill advances. Pair him with frontline protection and enough healing or mitigation to keep him contributing through the fight.

Let Ostara provide sustain and offensive support
Ostara’s described kit combines damage mitigation and healing with attack and critical-stat buffs. Pocket Gamer also says she adds a heal-and-buff effect when she dies, and identifies her as the strongest healer in its ranking. When she is available, she can serve as the primary sustain option.

Put Grox on the frontline
Grox brings high durability, taunt, a curse that increases the damage enemies take after two turns, and one revive per battle, according to Pocket Gamer. Those tools complement a damage-focused carry by protecting allies and disrupting opponents.
Choose the remaining heroes for synergy or the mode
- Freni for bleed-based control: She deals area magic damage and can inflict bleed, then silence enemies already affected by bleed. Pocket Gamer recommends pairing her with other bleed appliers, making her a conditional damage-and-control pick.
- Seraphel for backup recovery: She can heal and revive fallen allies. Pocket Gamer presents her as an alternative when Ostara is unavailable.
- Liana for support and Arena: Her described tools include healing, buffs, crowd-control resistance, and debuff dispelling. Pocket Gamer says Soaring Dance gains damage reflection at level 3 and calls her especially strong in Arena.
- Ella for story-mode area damage: Pocket Gamer highlights her area true damage as useful in story mode.
- Rein when allies hit often: He can make additional normal attacks when allies hit an enemy and deals increased damage to low-health targets, so he fits teams that trigger frequent allied hits.
For any other slot, compare the hero’s battle role, skill interactions, fit for the target mode, and whether you can realistically develop that hero. The available source gives specific mode advice for Ella and Liana, but not a systematic ranking for every hero in every mode.

Which heroes should you upgrade?
Prioritize the strongest compatible heroes you can actually build, rather than waiting for an ideal roster. Pocket Gamer says most Mythic heroes can work when the team has decent synergy, but ascending heroes requires duplicates and Mythic duplicates can be hard to obtain. A Legendary hero—or sometimes an Epic hero—may therefore be a practical choice while your roster develops.

What the ranking can—and cannot—tell you
The snapshot is most useful for finding promising heroes and understanding their described roles. It does not show that every S+ hero belongs in the same lineup, that lower-ranked heroes are unusable, or that one lineup will outperform others across story stages, guild battles, and Global Arena. Build for the encounter: protect your damage source, bring sustain when needed, and use remaining slots for complementary damage, control, or support that your roster can develop.
