GoDaddy offers email on your business’s own domain, but it isn’t the right choice for everyone. It may suit businesses that want to choose among Microsoft 365 bundles, including plans with Office, OneDrive, or Teams. Prices, storage, and included tools vary by country, plan, and billing term, so compare the current checkout and renewal totals for the same number of users.
How the plans compare
The table below combines GoDaddy’s own product and help pages. Figures and inclusions can vary by market and plan.
| Decision point | GoDaddy email |
|---|---|
| Published starting price | US$1.99 per mailbox per month. GoDaddy’s US product page lists Email Essentials at US$1.99 per mailbox per month for the first one-year term; auto-renew pricing applies. |
| Storage | 10–100 GB per mailbox in the provider’s comparison. GoDaddy’s US page lists 10 GB for Email Essentials and 50 GB for Email Plus; its UK help page describes 100 GB for some plans following a July 10, 2026 rollout. |
| Aliases | Up to 300 on GoDaddy’s professional-email page. Check the allowance for the specific plan and market. |
| Productivity tools | Depending on the plan, Microsoft 365 web apps, Teams, OneDrive, or desktop Office apps may be included. The entry email-only tier does not include every productivity feature. |
| Security and authentication | GoDaddy lists spam, malware, and phishing protections on applicable offerings; features and add-ons depend on the plan. |
| Migration | GoDaddy documents migration and export/import steps for email and, where applicable, contacts and calendar. |
| Support | GoDaddy’s comparison says 24/7 phone and chat. These are provider statements, not results from comparative support testing. |
GoDaddy’s US product page says the listed Email Essentials introductory price applies to the first one-year term and that auto-renew pricing applies. The amount due at checkout may be larger than one monthly payment.
What the advertised prices do—and do not—tell you
GoDaddy’s US product page, accessed October 7, 2026, lists US$1.99 per mailbox per month for Email Essentials on its first one-year term. This is a dated, provider-published figure; it should not be treated as a live quote for every country, plan, or billing term.
#1 Best Overall
For a fair cost comparison, use the same country, number of users, and subscription term on the checkout pages. Record the amount due for the initial term and the renewal price separately, and check whether taxes or extras change the total. GoDaddy’s US page says the listed Email Essentials introductory price applies to the first one-year term and that auto-renew pricing applies.
GoDaddy plan prices and storage shown on its US page
As accessed October 7, 2026, GoDaddy’s US product page lists Email Essentials at US$1.99 per mailbox per month for the first one-year term with 10 GB of storage, and Email Plus at US$5.99 per mailbox per month for the first one-year term with 50 GB. These are GoDaddy’s US page figures for those named plans, not a worldwide rate card.
Storage and aliases depend on the specific plan
GoDaddy’s advertised range of 10–100 GB per mailbox is useful for spotting potential differences, but it does not identify one universal storage allowance for every customer. GoDaddy’s US product page names 10 GB for Email Essentials and 50 GB for Email Plus. Separately, GoDaddy’s UK help page says new and upgraded Online Business Essentials, Business Professional, and Premium Security plans receive 100 GB instead of the previous 50 GB beginning July 10, 2026, with a gradual rollout to existing plans. That UK rollout description should not be assumed to apply to every plan or region.
Aliases let one mailbox receive mail addressed to multiple role-based addresses, such as accounts@ and enquiries@, without treating every address as a separate user mailbox. GoDaddy’s professional-email page advertises up to 300. Confirm how the selected plan counts aliases and whether they meet your workflow before deciding.
Choose based on the tools your team will actually use
GoDaddy may fit a team that wants a Microsoft 365 bundle
GoDaddy’s plan range may be a good match if you specifically need Microsoft 365 tools alongside email. Depending on the tier, bundles can include web apps, Teams, OneDrive, or desktop Office apps. Do not assume all of those are included in the least expensive email tier; check the named plan’s current inclusions and whether your staff need the included apps.
Security claims are not a substitute for checking plan coverage
GoDaddy lists spam, malware, and phishing protections on applicable offerings. These are vendor feature claims, and security features may vary by plan or add-on. Check the selected plan’s current documentation and confirm that your domain’s email-authentication settings can be configured as needed.

Best Value
- Inventory the mailboxes, aliases, folders, contacts, calendars, and any special rules your team relies on.
- Check the provider’s current migration workflow and whether it supports your existing mail system and the data you need to move.
- Keep an independent backup or export before starting; do not treat a migration offer as a backup guarantee.
- After the move, test sending and receiving on each important address and verify that expected messages, folders, contacts, and calendar data are present.
Which provider should you choose?
- Consider GoDaddy if you want a specific Microsoft 365 bundle or need its advertised alias allowance, after confirming the exact plan and regional terms.
- Compare storage against actual mailbox needs, check the checkout and renewal totals, and confirm the migration workflow before switching.
- Do not choose on claims of better deliverability, uptime, or support performance: the cited material does not establish an independent advantage in those areas.
